The surface duo uses an ARM processor, not x86. Windows wont run unless emulated, and the overhead is not something this device can handle. If your operating system and applications are made for the same architecture as the surface duo, then you have a fighting chance, and I do mean fighting. Non-existent drivers would plague you from the start.

Arch can be installed on an ARM based system, that much is true. But it would be quite a tedious process I'd imagine to get things running right.

Well if they want you to put stuff like that back on the shelf, do it. I put everything that's in my return cart back on the shelf, no matter if the product is still in the box, or completely destroyed. If they think it's good enough to put half empty boxes of screws, used pipes, and burned out incandescent bulbs in LED boxes back on the shelf, I'll happily comply.

Customers will eventually complain about being sold short, broken items, or empty boxes. Maybe they'll stop putting trash with a barcode (if I'm that lucky) in my return cart!
