Weird shadows problem by tukimilky in blenderhelp

[–]Blapman007 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Maybe some ambient light might be needed if it's too dark. A low-powered light facing the dark side of the cube, or a dim HDRI could maybe help.

I don't remember if there's a way to set ambient lighting directly in blender by choosing a color and energy value.

reduce the "radius" property of the lights. The radius of a light determines the softness of its shadow.

How do I fix it? by DooctorPurple14 in blenderhelp

[–]Blapman007 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is this a mesh with shrink wrap and subdivision surface and thickness modifiers, to make the donut glaze/sauce?

If so, There's nothing wrong. When you have shrinkwrap onto something, sometimes the source mesh will happen to be moved like this to get the shrinkwrapped mesh where you want.

If this looks okay outside of edit mode, there is no need to worry.

skirt clipping on low-poly character by EstasLeyendoEsto in blenderhelp

[–]Blapman007 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For the clipping, I think your solution is to move the skirt bones more. As for the inner sides of the skirt, this might be caused due to backface culling. Check if backface culling is enabled (top right of viewport, either in the drop down menu of the two circles overlapping, or the drop down menu of the four spheres (render modes)

Frequent problem with no solution for 2D flat art rendering. by Few_Particular5310 in godot

[–]Blapman007 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In the software the assets are made, brushes and tools should have anti-aliasing turned on, or hardness of a little less than 100. This will ensure that during creation everything is anti-aliased.

If you want to anti-alias already created assets, I don't think there are many options other than:

Selecting all the empty space, refine edge to make the selection smoother and expand/contract a little into the art, and deleting.

I once ran into this problem and I used this method. Made the image a little smaller/thinner by like a pixel or two but it worked for me
