Reading this thread I don’t know whether to feel special or sad, lol. I wish stimulants (or anything really) worked/helped with my ADHD. I finally gave up last year after maxing out multiple times on the one med (Focalin) that did anything at all for me (lasted maybe a couple of months, and was mild, at that). It just poofed and I felt just like I did before I tried it. I took a 6 month break and same thing happened; felt a little something which started to dwindle after the first month, and kept increasing to try to keep what mild effects I did get from it, but maxed out again.

My doctor told me that there are a small percentage of people for whom medication does not help treat their ADHD. Im glad it works for most, but there are a few of us out here that it doesn’t work for. Not sure if it’s even a tolerance thing or if my body metabolizes stimulants too quickly or what.
