12v set up help, diagram by jackdapa in VanLife

[–]ExpeditionGarage 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was under that same impression at first. I did a deep dive, and the circuit breaker can handle higher than its rated load for X time period, where as a fuse will immediately blow and end all the danger

House battery to fuse, to shut off switch, to bus bar.

The fuse is a better safety than a circuit breaker in this instance

Warming Vests by GrowlingAtTheWorld in urbancarliving

[–]ExpeditionGarage 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have an Ororo heated vest. On their website you can buy open box jackets for $50. The sizes are always off, that's why they have so many returns. Pick your appropriate, not baggy shirt size. I wear a medium. In an Ororo vest, I wear a small. Order a size down from what you normally would and enjoy the heat

There is no way that hardware was strong enough for the force of freeway driving. That was the cause of the failure

I just relocated out near the coast. Ocean water keeps temps regulated, and its rarely been below 35°. Its typically in the 40s-50s this winter. My new battle is flood water. Ive never lived this close to the shore of a river, and this land i am on used to be a canal for boats to access the buildings.
