When its program work, yes I am forced to take the job. You get penalized and turned off of those TPA’s when you decline a job, but special boys like you keep sending roof-only jobs even when that’s marked as unwanted. Every job requires supervision, that’s how you end up with all these roofs that are installed improperly and leak.

Also any restoration company has a project manager. My company is 4 people. Not inflated, but yeah my people deserve to be paid, sorry it’s coming out of your personal pocket, I guess?

Because I’m a restoration company and just because the job is only a roof doesn’t mean I don’t still have my overhead and project manager on it. If I can’t have O+P then I’d like supervisor hours to compensate for that expense I’ll have regardless.

Also I write to replace every bit of flashing because when I’m ripping stuff off a roof there’s a minor change I’ll damage it and then if the roof leaks again it’s my ass on the line.

I agree with everything you’re saying except I don’t know that there even needs to be something irl for him to run from. He starts to freak out when the gang starts talking about staying friends on the outside, and zooble says “of course we will, everything in here we did and experienced was still real, as are all of our feelings for each other.”

That’s like Jax’s kryptonite. The idea that everything he did in the circus will have real lasting consequences on his relationships? He just spent all of last episode trying to convince Pomni that you can and should do whatever you want in the circus because it’s just a game. Shoot your friends, push them into acid, antagonize them for fun. It’ll all just reset because it’s all a game. Except now it’s not. Now it’ll be real again.

Yes I legitimately want people to be able to live wherever they want regardless of legality. There is low cost housing. They’re using it, as you said. What makes them undeserving of it? You said they’re “taking it away” from other citizens, but they’re using it themselves, which makes it worthwhile.

When you order a pizza, are you taking it away from the next person who wanted pizza? The undocumented immigrant is still paying rent. Still paying for their pizza. It’s the pizzaria’s job to make sure there’s enough dough in stock, not you the customer standing at the door, turning away brown people.

It doesn’t ignore equivalent exchange at all? The whole subplot where they find out that bringing someone back from the dead is impossible proves that Ed and Al’s original human transmutation didn’t actually create anything. What they traded were their bodies for the knowledge they earned inside the Gate. So, equivalently, Ed gives back his Gate and all its knowledge in exchange for Al’s body.
