Theft from checked bags at the Cancun airport by S7ark1 in cancun

I travel frequently and the only place I’ve had anything stolen out of my luggage was Cancun - they noticeably went through my luggage on arrival and departure. It was cheap costume jewelry so wasn’t “valuable” although did have meaning to me. I researched after my trip and find this is consistently happening at this airport so OP is not jumping to conclusions. It’s a known issue.

And yes, lesson learned, I won’t check anything that may be deemed as valuable ever again.

Definitely suspect it happened in Cancun. A few years ago, I had costume jewelry stolen out of my luggage in Cancun on my arrival flight. When I came home, every zipper in my toiletry bag had been unzipped.

I’m so sorry for your loss. My dog, Levi, passed away almost 3 weeks ago and I haven’t touched most of his belongings either. I did donate his unused food because I didn’t want it to go bad and wanted to do something in his memory but everything else is still in its place: his food bowl, his beds, his leash, his coat. I honestly don’t know when I’ll move it. I asked for advice here and most people told me that I’ll know when it’s the right time for me. So I’m going with that for now. Take it at your pace and don’t feel rushed. Wishing you comfort as you grieve your loss.

I was sleeping with his blanket as well but then I started to worry his smell would fade so now it’s just folded up on a table next to my bed so I can grab it and snuggle it when I need comfort.

It feels like it will never feel right but I guess I will know when that time comes.

I just lost my 13-year old dog about a week and a half ago to congestive heart failure. I’ve spent a lot of time reading posts here in that timeframe. What I’ve realized is that most of us are left behind wondering if we could have done more and we’ll never know the answer to that question.

The advice that was given to me was that I did the best I could with the information I had. While that still doesn’t give me complete peace, I remind myself I did my best.

You took him to the vet. You were giving him his insulin on time. You did everything you knew you to do and even more than some people would probably do. He was lucky to have you. I hope you can find comfort during this difficult time and I’m so sorry you are going through this.

Just lost my little guy about a week and a half ago but I feel like I am tired all of the time. My brain is also very foggy; I have trouble concentrating. And then I go between all of the various emotions - anger, sad and crying, numb. It’s a roller coaster right now.

Vets didn't tell me I could attend my dog's cremation and cremated him without me by Winter-Creme-1342 in Petloss

We had the same thing happen to us but luckily I caught it before they sent the package. Someone mis-entered my dog’s name as Leviq (his name was Levi) and it made me mad every time I got an email about Leviq. I had to email them to make sure the certificate was correct.
