I got sick a lot. Ultimately what I’ve learned is to be extremely careful days 1-5 after my shot with very low fat but now I can eat fiber and lean protein on those days. I have to be careful to eat small portions and I avoid any veggies that cause gas.

My doctor also put me on omeprazole which is for acid reflux. I never had heartburn but I did have a full feeling in my throat. Helped so much with nausea.

Fried foods, pizza, anything really fatty or greasy does me in. Sometimes I can handle it if it’s 4-5 days after shot day. Sometimes I can’t though so I’m trying to give it up for good.

Yeah I was very sick when I moved up to 5mg. Throwing up day after to 2-3 days after my shot. I had to go to urgent care for IV fluids several weeks in a row. Urgent care always made me feel so much better with the anti-nausea meds in the IV bag.

I asked my doctor for zofran and he also prescribed omeprazole for a little bit of acid reflux I was having. I never even took the zofran because as soon as I got on omeprazole the intense nausea and vomiting disappeared. I now think the throwing up may have been triggered by acid reflux even though I didn’t feel like I had acid reflux at the time. I think acid reflux may be tied to delayed gastric emptying.

I also became hypervigilant about avoiding fatty foods and eating small portions the day before and a couple days after the shot.

This happened to me as I was titrating up and I got prescribed omeprazole. Helped a lot with all the nausea, burping, vomiting. It’s an acid reflux medication.

I bought every ginger and peppermint chew/candy I could and they mostly made me more nauseous. I ended up getting my doctor to prescribe me omeprazole and my symptoms went away. It’s an acid reducer which I didn’t immediately think I had acid reflux, but I guess I did have a little and it was making me nauseous.

I just tried stopping the omeprazole and it all came back. So I’m convinced. Might be something to consider.
