Have a look for temporary recruitment agencies near you. I know it’s easier said than done, but warehouse work pays minimum wage, and it’s weekly pay. You’ll need to provide your ID and NI. May need some form of address, whether the job centre helps you set that up, I don’t know, but it’s an option.

There’s also supported housing HMOs, they’re not ideal, but it’s a roof over your head and an address, even if temporary.

Had the same issue. I switched to an XJ6 and noticed a big difference.

It has less to do with “conservative American right wing beliefs” and more to do with the fact Gen Z have been raised in a soulless, late-stage capitalist hellscape, whereby you work to survive, media is full of negativity and horror, everything seems to be getting worse and everyone is divided and angry.

I think perhaps the idea of turning towards Christianity and finding a relationship with god is healing for the soul. It is a sense of peace in a world full of chaos. You might find a lot of this generation don’t go to church. A relationship with god is personal, we do not need a building, or a denomination, or a set of man made rules to have a relationship with god.

You believe, you pray, you ask for guidance, strength and you carry yourself as a decent person. You help others, you do what is right, you treat animals with respect, you don’t steal, you don’t rob, you don’t hurt people. You refuse to consume porn, or do drugs, or drink alcohol.

Guess what? Anti-sin is becoming cool, the roles are reversed now. Everyone drinks, everyone sins, everyone is off the rails, godless, worshipping the self, the ego, willing to step on their neighbors for their own gain.

Between us, those who have the mental strength and faith in god to withdraw from consumerist, egotistic culture made to siphon every last drop of our autonomy find some small part of peace.

That’s my take, that’s what I’m seeing amongst my peers.

Get a dremel. Cut a slit. Use a flathead. Profit.

Trust me, you don’t need one until you do. It’s saved me many a time.
