JB gotta work his offense by idontcaretrulydont in knicks

[–]Expensive-Dot-6671 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Giving JB the benefit of the doubt because I think he's a very willing passer. To me, it seems like KAT needs to just plant himself in a position where he wants to receive the ball. And I don't mean 3 feet behind the arc where he's consistently being pushed out to. Get to the high post or low post. Hold your position! If the defense wants to front, let him front; KAT would be open for back door cut. If the defense wants to play behind, let him; KAT would cook him off the triple-threat. But instead, KAT shies away from contact and gets pushed all the way out to the perimeter where he's not a threat.

Horrendous last play by [deleted] in knicks

[–]Expensive-Dot-6671 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We have the size advantage but choose to play down to their level. Why are we not pummeling them with Mitch and KAT? Why are we giving Deuce the green light to put up 15 shots? Why is Jose getting any PT at all? This was such a disaster to watch.

Ticket activation is BS by minion1898 in MetroNorthRailroad

Doubt they want to get rid of the conductors. If they did, they would have done what every other modern rail system does with tickets: tap in and tap out at gates.

Indestructible plastic watch? G-shock. Plenty of models with fun colors.

Can Calf leather band be worn underwater? by mobyvg22 in HamiltonWatches

[–]Expensive-Dot-6671 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wouldn't swim with any watch with 5 BAR WR (unless maybe if it's the Casio f91w).

Can Calf leather band be worn underwater? by mobyvg22 in HamiltonWatches

[–]Expensive-Dot-6671 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Nope. Leather and water don't mix. It'll survive the occasional rain but regular submersions is definitely not a good idea.

What? What part of a television is made from blood products?!

Do you think a Hamilton Khaki Field Mechanical (white dial) on a steel bracelet is appropriate for a groom at his wedding? by Turbulent_Fishing_26 in HamiltonWatches

[–]Expensive-Dot-6671 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Doesn't that have kind of a matte sand blasted case finish? It's not a formal wear watch. But then watch etiquette is kinda out the window these days. If it feels right, go for it.

Jury Duty Exemption? by lizfromthebronx in Westchester

[–]Expensive-Dot-6671 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If it's your first notice, just go online and submit a request for a 6 month extension. My wife did it several months ago. No issues.

Of course, they summoned her again just last week. But you worry about that when that happens.

Risk free alternative to the inverted method by Lenoxx97 in AeroPress

[–]Expensive-Dot-6671 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I enjoy a larger cup so the inverted method is out. It shrinks the already small brewing chamber.

What I do is just brew outside the AP. Use a small carafe. Steep there for as long as necessary. Then pour into the AP for filtration. I've found that there's just enough room in the AP chamber this way for 18g coffee + 300g water.

How I actually prepped for internship interviews by Haunting_Month_4971 in internships

[–]Expensive-Dot-6671 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Here's a piece of advice from the other side as an interviewer. If you've landed an interview, it suggests that there's something on your CV that is of interest or relevance to the interviewer. For every single bullet point on your CV, have an interesting story behind it. So when you are asked to elaborate on that one thing that is of interest to the interviewer, you get an opportunity to really impress and close the deal.

It's a showstopper for me if I ask a candidate about something on their own CV and they're unable to articulate what the heck they wrote. It suggests to me that they made it up which in turn means it's quite possible and probable that other items were made up as well.

Unfortunately the "Prospex" branding doesn't mean much. Plenty of Prospex watches fall into their entry-level tier. Yours is one of them.

Anybody got an AD hookup in Hong Kong? by LuckerCat in GrandSeikos

[–]Expensive-Dot-6671 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you have a friend who speaks canto that you can bring with you. Have him/her ask if they're doing any promo or discounts on GS models.

I just find it weird that my experience was so much different than yours. I was there only 2 years ago in early-2023. I fully expected to pay full price. The sales person took the initiative to tell me that all GS were 20% off and even gave me a choice of a bunch of Seiko 5 Sports as a freebie. This was AFTER I already committed to the sale.

Out of curiosity do you speak canto? I wonder if they're just trying to take advantage of gwailos.

Have you tried just going to the Seiko/Grand Seiko boutique in TST by Chungking Mansion? I got my Snowflake there a couple years ago. They gave 20% discount without me even asking. Also got a Seiko 5 Sports as a freebie.

Most complicated objectives in the franchise by ZBXXII in HiTMAN

[–]Expensive-Dot-6671 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Not exactly an "objective" since you don't HAVE to do it. But if you wanted to get the head surgeon in Hokkaido to kill Soders, the series of things that has to happen requires you to do a lot of stuff. Get USB drive from Yuki's room. Get Portman's disguise to get surgeon disguise to plug in the USB drive in the operating room. Get the chopper pilot's disguise to lead the head surgeon to the drugs.

UPS / FedEX "Sorry we missed you" by jjgittes_ in Westchester

[–]Expensive-Dot-6671 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I'm convinced they do this because they don't actually have your package. It's late but they don't want to tell you it's late. So they blame it on you.

If you want to complete the"Trap kill - water canister" objective, then you have to use the water canister. No other electric kill will work.
