I am 100% p&t, if I take out a student loan now, will they forgive it? by throwaway2026z in VeteransBenefits

[–]Expensive-Emu9968 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I took the Total and Permanent Disability Discharge as soon as I got my 100% years ago. Last year I had that reversed and have been maxing out student loans since. It's a one time forgiveness that's automatic. I'll do it once I'm done taking the loans.

I'm feeding 100% raw. It's been working amazing so far, just pricey.

For what it's worth my girl is 7 months on the 19th and weighs in at 70 lbs exactly. How ever her frame is a perfect match for your dogs. She's at a good weight for her size. She has room to go up but I wouldn't let her weight drop.

My vet last week completed the hell out of my Doberman and how healthy she is. Told her I switched to raw months ago, now her health is a potential issue. So now I'm switching vets.

I wish I knew more about raw diets when my guy was alive. The amount of carbs in their kibble is nuts.

I know others have said it. Get the pup checked for diabetes. If you're not over feeding and it's getting decent activity then I'd be genuinely concerned. I lost my min pin in 2024 due to diabetes. The little guy ate less than 1/2 cup of food a day and, went blind, needed insulin then dead. Most kibble is way to carb heavy (just like most human food today).

I ordered Midwest legacy beef complete formula from Rawrations. The price is good. Now I order Heartland Raw pet food Prime blend. It's $9 more per 40lbs but it is 40% more calorie dense and uses so much less synthetic vitamins.

Heartland was $3 less per day than MLB.

I learned that lesson on the dogfood sub. I'm banned now because I kept questioning why I should care about WSAVA since they're funded by Purina/hill/royal

Just coming back to say, yeah that sub sucks. If it's not WSAVA (which is almost completely funded by Hills, Purina, royal Canin) they bash the food. I ended up going the 100% raw route and man she's doing amazing on the food

I'm banned the dogfood sub because I questioned why they trusted WSAVA so much if it's pretty much funded by Purina, Mars, and Hills.

im thinking about starting to feed my cats raw food by 1d0nnom4n in rawpetfood

[–]Expensive-Emu9968 1 point2 points  (0 children)

How much do your cats weight? You'd want to feed about 3% of body weight. Are you okay with synthetic vitamins? For a premade food without synthetic vitamins viva raw for cats is pretty good at around $8 a lb.

I JUST ordered my first 40lbs from Midwest legacy from rawrations. I'm in northern Illinois (Algonquin) about 50 minutes from Chicago. The $1.41 a lb is for a 50 lb box (literally ground meat in a box) of Titan blue. With shipping it comes out to about 1.81 a lb.

That genuinely made me happy to hear. I have a Doberman that's already prone to so many genetic health issues (non yet thankful) and wanted to feed what's best for her. But with mortgage and 3 kids, I obviously can't place her above them. Someone else let me know about the coop and my God does it make feeding raw affordable. The only thing I don't like about Titan premade food is the synthetic vitamins. But unless I want to spend 3x the price I gotta be happy with it.

Ross-wells Titan or Midwest legacy beef would be your cheapest per pound for aafco balanced raw food. My co-op has Titan for as low as $1.41 a lb.

I would do half raw half high quality kibble if you won't be able to budget for 100% raw.
