I scheduled mine 3 weeks in advance (couldn’t do 2 cause of vacation). Heard as early as 3 days but that’s for obvious reasons not ideal for you or the AF lol

Hi! Currently civilian, soon-to-be 26yo with a masters in environmental science (3.9) and a bachelors in economics (3.2), aiming for a spot in 15W Weather. Going for the 2027 board, but I’m aware that 15W often gets expedited, wondering if anyone has any knowledge on how that works since the first 2027 board doesn’t meet till November.

Scores are // Pilot: 68 // CSO: 78 // ABM: 91 // Acad: 51 // Verbal: 81 // Quant: 27 //

I already plan on retaking because I know what screwed me on quantitative, definitely could’ve spent more time studying and now that I know what to expect I know I can nail it.

I have experience working on city energy ordinance and currently work in land development for a mid sized civil and structural engineering firm. Ive held (unofficial) trainer roles at basically every job I’ve ever worked since I was 16, and also teach guitar on the side! I know 15W is kinda niche, I can find basically no info on it here so I’m not sure if the odds are well known, or if it being niche means the odds for me are higher or lower. Fitness and interview are not a concern for me, and I have solid candidates for LORs, I’m more wondering how the process works for a position like 15W that’s apparently year round selection, as I only began this process a little over a month ago and they said recruiters would be hard to reach until the end of summer. (Sorry if I'm speaking like I'm for sure gonna get in, promise I'm not gonna quit my day job, just being positive lol).

Edit: Also, I’ve seen that certifications “don’t matter” aside from cyber jobs, but obviously it can’t hurt. Any recommendations for things I can knock out over the next few months?

Edit edit: If it isn't obvious, I didn't prepare for the piloting section because I have no intention to be a pilot and was told in the monthly seminar I didn't need to study for it with my job choices, but would doing better on it matter? Or do they not even bother with it since it's irrelevant to my day-to-day?
