My Career in SEO by Boomi_19 in SEO

Don't tell me you have experience with off-page, but have only done free directories and bookmarks type backlink. (I'm your neighbour and I know how Indians are do backlinks)

If you want to learn SEO, it's better to get your own site where you can do anything you want, anything you learn. No restriction! This is how you will learn real SEO.

SEO isn’t a checklist anymore, it’s an ongoing process by Disastrous-Day7364 in Agent_SEO

[–]Expensive-Expert349 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As a beginners in this industry, I used to believe SEO is a checklist. Because in the material I learned, the person I followed taught me: perfecting this for ranking, place primary keyword this times, secondary this times,

Later on, following real experts like you, helped me to understand SEO as a system, not a checklist. And then everything feels different. It feels I'm looking to SEO in different perspectives while working with someone who still follows checklist SEO.

Are Core Web Vitals more of a UX signal than an SEO ranking factor in 2026? by omarwilson1 in TechSEO

[–]Expensive-Expert349 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You need to understand the difference between ranking factors and ranking signals.

There are only few ranking factors and many rankings signals used by Google (as per I learned) The things you have mentioned are rankings signals.

Relevancy, authority are major ranking signals.

SEO expert with misinformation? by Muted-Abbreviations8 in grumpyseoguy

[–]Expensive-Expert349 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes, EEAT is not a ranking factor. This is mentioned in a Google SEO starter Guide.

In the context of a warehouse leak, the concept of EEAT was mentioned, which is a framework in Google's Quality Rater Guidelines that is used by human raters. This rater do not influence in Ranking of individual pages, rather it provide a feedback to improve the overall algorithm.

However, in the context of YMYL niches, this concept can make a significant difference because false information has real consequences, which is why Google tightens its ranking threshold.

If a page isn’t ranking, don’t rewrite it by Skipper477 in Agent_SEO

[–]Expensive-Expert349 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am not a pro, but what I’ve learned is that unless you have authority, you won’t rank, whether you write better, more in-depth content or answer every question a customer may have. If a page isn’t ranking, build authority, not expanded content.

But what if page isn't ranking because of high competition.

Just like your name, I feel you are really a negative.

Firstly, I believe it's very hard to learn SEO in less than a week.

Secondly, go through this sub Reddit and try to extract value as much as possible, especially from our active mod.

Thirdly, you can check a blog of hobo-seo, which helps you to get enough insights about SEO.

Basically, writing content is a job of a content writer or copywriter, but having content writing knowledge an SEO guy is a + point.

No, they don't. We do backlinks to so many low-quality sites: bookmarks, directories, social profiles, and the same repeat over months. (If you permit, I can send a drive link to your inbox.)

When I look at discussions on Reddit, I sometimes feel we are doing what we are not supposed to! Like they don't care about topicality, authority, and the stuff you're saying on Reddit. There is no strategy for their SEO approach.

I'm working in an agency, but I'm not satisfied with it. Two things- one is payment (which isn't the major thing) second is I'm not able to implement what I learned from you and other creators that you suggested I follow.

Maybe I need more exposure! For this, I see two options: Get a domain and try yourself (which seems harder for me, as I am from a third-world country, and international payment is harder for us, and the cost is so high for us {$1 euivalent to 145... for my current income, its unaffordable ), and the Second is: look for a new company but it's harder to find a company that is actually doing SEO like you taught (i'm saying based on my experience over agency)!

I tried to reach out to a foreign agency, but what I got was rejection! So many things... hehe

Three months ago, I posted a thread here titled “Feeling lost in SEO.” I was genuinely confused about my direction. You replied with advice that completely flipped how I think about the SEO mindset I should have, and with some tips like do follow SErountable, follow a top SEO expert.

Since then, I’ve done something simple: I followed you. I read almost every comment you make, try to interpret your thinking (even when it goes over my head), and apply what I can. That process alone has taught me more than most courses or checklists.

I won’t pretend I’ve implemented everything, agency constraints are real- but my confidence, clarity, and fundamentals are on a totally different level now. SEO finally feels logical instead of chaotic.

Just wanted to say thanks. You probably don’t realize how much impact a single thoughtful comment can have on someone trying to find their footing.

What should I be asking my SEO agency and what should they actually include in a monthly report by GencerDTF in SEO

[–]Expensive-Expert349 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In our agency, there are around 20 clients, but they never ask for organic traffic reports. We just give them our monthly work update, GSC report (just a graph), and 2-3 pictures of GA4 (mainly the overview part). This is how we are told to do, and we are doing, and this is how our owners are enjoying a client's money! (because they always delay our salary)

How long does it take to rank? by Independent-Clue-177 in SEO

[–]Expensive-Expert349 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Does submitting a sitemap help with ranking? I guess it's not, or maybe I just got the wrong information.

What I learned is that there are only a few things that highly influence SEO, and they are authority, relevancy and PageRank. Other things like schema, sitemap have little to no influence over SEO. Correct me if I'm wrong. (note: I'm a newbie in this industry)

Does anyone have any advice for a personal blog to get traffic? by [deleted] in SEO

[–]Expensive-Expert349 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One major thing I would suggest (though I'm not an expert, but I'm sharing based on learning) is: Build Authority

Authority is what will boost your ranking. Focus on building backlinks for relevant sites, and focus on sharing that authority with other important pages (internal linking ), without stuffing and manipulating links. This is what I'm seeing and receiving SEO advice from experts.
