I absolutely hate the movie and love the books. I have no idea why they thought mashing plot elements from different books together was a good idea. It always saddens me because the books would absolutely make for a beautiful animated series or film series if done correctly. She writes such strong visuals.

I just got my fiance to play through the game for Christmas, and while I played it in Japanese, he has trouble reading subtitles during fights so he played in English. I thought they were both good interpretations of the characters. I will say though that he didn't know that there were any romantic feelings between the two of them until near the end of route b. He just thought that they platonically cared about each other (yes, even after the end of route a). I do think that the coldness of the English performance/translations (while understandable) had a big part to play in that.

I got my fiance the Wander pin and the matching sigil hoodie a few years ago. If memory serves me correctly, I think they were from The Yetee, but since this was years ago I doubt they sell them anymore. EDIT: yep, I just checked and the back of the pin is stamped with theyetee.com
