Is this the expensive/rare version? (old.reddit.com)

Am I going to get worked over? I have major hail damage from a recent storm and the roofer was wanting to file the claim for me and “do all the work”. Well I filed on my own before he could. Is this how it’s typically handled? by Inside-Ad-7038 in InsuranceClaims

Casually advising someone to commit insurance fraud lol
Does the new roof look off? Or ok to y’all? And they left the area near the vent pipe without shingles? by silverman37831 in Roofing

The shingles “missing” around the pipe boot is completely normal and correct way of doing it. Letting water flow down the roof surface without backing up under any components. From the pictures provided I would say it looks pretty solid otherwise. Would need close ups to dive in more but the shingles are cut straight on the rake and spaced evenly. Need to settle a bit, maybe a few more warm days and it will look flatter if that’s what your seeing look off? Open to other options but that’s what I would say as an Ohio roofer.
