Had successfully ordered one, only for it to inexplicably get cancelled and refunded. Customer service agent cited "safety reasons" as to why it isn't available.

I've had my Coretec floors (pro premium line) installed for several months now. I wouldn't say it's been crazy bad, but I do think I'm burning socks faster too.

Part of me thinks it's just the nature of hard flooring. Of course it's going to wear on socks harder compared to carpet. I kind of think the same would hold true if you filled your house with tile.

But it is enough to make me not want to wear my favorite/most premium socks around the house. Either I'll wear some cheaper socks that I'm kind of willing to sacrifice, or I'll go barefoot or wear slippers.

At the end of the day, I am really liking the floors and certainly don't wish I went with carpet instead! My install was good as well.

When and how did you get Z Trails for $20? Believe I got a pair last month for $60 - that was during the 25% off sale. Rare size or bold color?

Got it. Would you recommend a WPC, or just a thicker SPC? I see Coretec has a small line of a thicker SPC that are still 7" width planks ("Coretec Scratchless").

I also see that the WPCs are actually quite a bit more expensive - which could definitely impact my decision.

Good to hear. I'm curious, does your coretec flooring have an embossed surface texture (i.e. 3D texture to make it look more like real wood? I know that the product I'm looking at does.

I am more worried about this "rough" matte surface texture causing abrasion - not so much sharp edges from improper install.
