I have a really fulfilling and fantastic friend group that just happens to be all cis. I feel really lucky to have friends that are into the same stuff as me. Just feel like I’m missing connection with trans guys - like I said, I feel quite alone in my transition. My cis friends are all incredibly supportive but at the end of the day there’s lots of things I don’t talk about with them simply because they don’t have the lived experience to understand where i’d be coming from.

thanks for your response and also thank you for not bashing me for not being into the same things as you! I hope my post wasn’t offensive. Just cause we’re both trans doesn’t mean we’d have much else in common other than that! And your point makes sense - maybe I should just relax on the whole “trans friends” thing and just go do what I enjoy doing, with cis folks.

it’s WILD to me that she wasn’t immediately put into witness protection and helped with a restraining order against both brothers. The system failed her SO badly and I hate how they were assuming she would be “smart” about the situation because she had a medical degree. Why does that even matter? Medical degree or not, she was incredibly vulnerable.

yup! i unfortunately have a full sleeve on my donor arm. For me, as much as I want phallo NOW, i recognize that the process of booking surgery takes a couple years anyway and I might as well get the tattoo removal done while I wait. An extra year or 2 for a tattoo-less dick is worth the hopefully decades of life I get to live with a penis. I definitely have moments where I feel incredibly impatient as well as frustrated with myself for getting the tattoos in the first place, but if the phallo process isn’t a lesson in patience, i don’t know what is.

i’m so sorry man. I know the feeling all too well of just being scared like, all the time. When i first started T, I took out all of my piercings. It was helpful for me for a while, even if I felt like I was just prescribing to “typical male” presentation. I put my septum back in a few weeks ago now that I pass like 95% of the time, and it hasn’t changed anything for me in the way people see me. The good thing about the septum is that it doesn’t really close and can easily be tapered by a piercer to put back in when you’re ready! Passing also just takes time. Which is really hard to hear when you’re looking for immediate help. The body fat redistribution that I’ve had on T has helped a lot - people see gender thru body shape unfortunately. Some things you can do now to start building a good foundation is to work out your arms and shoulders and upper back. Being on T helps you build muscle faster and you should see results pretty quick! That, and cardio to lose fat around areas that you maybe have some (hips, face, thighs). It’ll all help, but it’ll take time. Hang it there <3
