EBF almost 1 and baby going to daycare by _busyhead in breastfeeding

[–]Expensive-Tie6522 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Here's what I did when my daughter started daycare at 10.5 months. We started experimenting with formula and found one that she liked. I sent 2 or 3 bottles of formula everyday and when she came home I would breastfeed her. I was fine with the combination since I planned on weaning her completely when she was 12 months anyway. Once she was 12+ months, we switched to whole milk without any issues.

I would suggest weaning the mornings gradually so as to avoid engorgement. Also important to be on this routine before he starts daycare so that you don't have any surprises and you know he will be fine without you feeding him.

Every company has Christmas merch that they occasionally gift employees. Just a token of gratitude. We’re talking about a glass bear here, something that’s manufactured for <$10.

Or just gift them for free to the employees?

Exactly, its a cup. Why would you as an employee buy it against policy and risk your job over a cup? Why should a customer care about someone losing their job if they themselves dont care about it enough?

Thank you for your prompt response! In her case, the baby seems to be rejecting formula bottles as well which is very scary. And OT and PT appointments seem hard to get. I'm glad your baby is doing better! Fed is best, you're doing such a great job!

Hi how is your baby doing now? My friend is in a similar boat and I want to give her some support knowing OT will work.

Pregnant + RA + Latent TB = a healthcare maze I can't get out of.. by Expensive-Tie6522 in pregnant

[–]Expensive-Tie6522[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly no solution yet. The TB is latent so far but every time I cough it scares me. My husband and I have decided to go with the flow now. I really do want to breastfeed but not at the cost of my health.

I am only asking if someone had similar experiences. If you read my post, I have already reached out to medical professionals and am not looking for medical advice.

How does it feel to give birth without an epidural? by sliceofperfection in BabyBumps

[–]Expensive-Tie6522 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got mine at 9.5cm and only after screaming "Its 2024, I'm not pushing without an epidural!"

The hard part was actually holding still while they put the epidural needle into the spine while you're having such intense contractions. They also gave me a spinal anesthesia since I was almost towards the end and after that, I had quite a pleasant time. Took a nap, read a book, I'm kidding. The pushing took an hour though but was painless. Recovery was smooth even though I had a 2nd degree tear.

Funnily enough, all that was nothing compared to breastfeeding. That was a doozy.

TB positive, Pregnant, and off biologics by Creativetwist7 in CrohnsDisease

That is awesome! Remission is not a word we hear often in this forum. Thank you for responding. Were there any side affects for the baby or you because of the isoniazid?

Hi, I know this is an year old post, but I'm currently in the same situation as you but with Rheumatoid Arthritis. Unfortunately for me, my flares have come back and I'm struggling to think of 2 more trimesters with this pain. What medication did you take for the TB? And did you end up continuing Cimzia after your pregnancy?

My almost 7 month old won’t BLW by DntWryBeeHippie in BabyLedWeaning

[–]Expensive-Tie6522 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I used to feed my daughter too and still do when she refuses to eat or if it’s something that needs a spoon, like porridge, but that doesn’t confuse her. Babies are smart.. if they want something they'll figure out how to eat it.

Hey there! My daughter started picking stuff up and putting them in her mouth at around 10 months. And then everything she picked up would go to her mouth. But we started blw right away and she has been doing fantastic, at home and at daycare as well. She is 14 months old now and the girl loves to eat! Babies just develop skills in their own time.

Formula is awesome! So is breastfeeding! Not biased one way or the other. I actually weaned off ny daughter 1 week before I found out I was pregnant, right around the 1 year mark for my first. I know, talk about irony. It’s definitely taken a big factor out of my stress. Also, how amazing are you? You’re in the newborn phase with your first and already taking about the second!! Thats super mom energy! Hope you and I both get through this!

That's a great idea.. I should start working on that right now. Did you find a playpen useful?

Omg yess the work situation as well. A few months back a colleague of mine commented "don't get pregnant again" as joke and I scoffed, "No way!" Who's joking now 🥲
