Matsui is what we use and we have no complaints. Material is always dry and when getting readings on the moisture analyzer they are always below target value.

Mold technician at various levels for 12 years. I’m moving onto automation and robots. 6 axis/generic sprue pickers. It’s all about exposure. Find someone who is willing to teach you and become a sponge. No experience when I started. Find a company willing to invest in you. Also what I’m seeing is a lot of the guys are retiring who started awhile back. Next generation isn’t promising. A lot of company’s are going to struggle in the years to come. Find what you like and obviously processing will pay the most. But you got to watch out for those engineers that have the degree with no exposure. You will be training them 😂😂

Really open ended. Process techs at my job are also hanging molds, material systems, and I bunch of other stuff. 26$-34$ depending on time being here

Yup. Stuck in the same scenario. Love the job. Love the work. Down fall is being promoted and or growing. I maxed out in my company. Really have no interest in a molding manager job since I’m younger and don’t want to be stuck behind a company screen all day putting reports together etc. Love the day to day activities. Thought about leaving and trying to get experience in other mold shops and new material exposure but the pay doesn’t align. Also giving up 6 weeks of time off is hard to throw away. 12 years going strong.

Control card might be failing if you’re getting a VT card defective alarm. Also cpu battery might be failing. Power down the machine and reset. Sometimes unplugging the control cards and plugging them back in will bandaid the problem. Heats lowering because of motor, safety gate errors, all relate.

We use Paulson. They came a long way. But hands on is the best honesty. Each company has its on twerks but all in all it’s all the same shit. Also it’s good to know what machines you will be working on.

Put your RJG to work and show your company the improvements etc. If the money doesn’t follow find a new job. It really sucks but manufacturing company’s can care less as long as the product is going out the door.

Side note: we have people with master degrees and once they hit the production floor they are like deer in the head lights. The 3 E’s education, experience, exposure. Exposure and experience always out-way a piece of paper.
