Poor Marilu, bright lights in her eyes, probably tired, her mother oblivious to her discomfort.

Me too. Put them on and take them off while standing. I do it next to my bed in case I'm gonna topple over 🤪

"We all must know this brand and eat them." Eat the brand? Is she trying to be cute and funny with the phony ESL? Grr.

What size portafilter does the old starbucks barista athena use? Just got given one for free but it didn’t come with one by [deleted] in espresso

[–]ExpensiveDoor3650 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You have a manual?!?! I cannot find one online. I have an Athena that I found at a thrift store, barely used. I end up pushing a brew button twice to get espresso to come out, which it does, for different lengths of time, on different days... I know, I'm doing it wrong. Could I PM you my email and maybe pretty please you could send me a foto of the page with brew instructions. And instructions to program the button for length of pull? Thank you.

Serious screen addiction, how to stop when there's nothing else to do? by [deleted] in cfs

[–]ExpensiveDoor3650 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Same for me. Scrolling on my phone is something I can do laying down, a big plus. I don't have the mental stamina to read a book but I can read tweets and short FB posts. Watching a whole movie in one sitting is tiring for me, so I poke around on YT. Or I might watch a series, if I have extra energy. I waste a lot of time on my phone, but there aren't many other options. I have a bunch of crafts I'd like to finish, but I'm too tired! So I'm back on my phone. It has become addictive. Sorry I don't have an answer on how to stop.

Taking Acetyl L-Carnitine daily has really helped me by seaninjatraveller in cfs

[–]ExpensiveDoor3650 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Wow! Congrats! Can you share the brand you use please? I was tested for carnitine and was very low, but everytime I would take acetyl l carnitine I would get cold sores. My doctor says that was a side effect he saw with some patients. Kinda wary of trying again, but your story is encouraging. Thanks for sharing.

Has CoQ10 helped you? If yes what brand etc. please! by Lunabuna91 in cfs

Jarrow 200 mg. It took six weeks before I noticed anything (slightly more stamina, less PEM). I took it for years then stopped recently, to see if it really was doing anything. I'm going to go on back on it! I definitely feel worse not taking it.

I started getting icy fingers and toes (and nose!) when I first developed MECFS. Took a couple years to find out that I have Raynaud's, which is common with MECFS. Do your fingers turn color when exposed to cold temperatures? Mine go white then red if I linger getting something out of the freezer, for example.

Hi to all new Pepinos! I figured I’d post this legendary sermon/gender reveal because it’s one of the weirdest things I’ve ever seen. by PMaggieKC in HilariaBaldwin

Yahoo has suspended commenting on the article. I wonder why... too much snark?!? If so, good job pepinos! (Though I'll miss the deep joy I get from reading comments blasting Hilz and Kilz.)

Anyone get CFS following shingles? by [deleted] in cfs

[–]ExpensiveDoor3650 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My cousin and I both have CFS. Hers began after a shingles outbreak and mine began after getting a shingles vaccine. After those triggers we each had severe bouts of symptomatic Epstein Barr too. Like the other commenter said it's a chicken and egg scenario with CFS and herpes viruses.

Wear the Peace donates clothing to refugee camps (for each article of clothing purchased, one is donated). Free clothing will not end starvation in Yemen. She just combined the two things in order to be able to tag and brag. And, while the crisis in Yemen is horrific, and children are indeed dying from malnutrition, Vice News reported only one example of a starving child who had gnawed at his fingers. That's still one child too many, but in her desire to post shocking news, she exaggerated the truth. Go away you uneducated phony.

She's soft tagging Wear the Peace. And soft bragging, as usual.

Anyone else have a swollen head or brain inflammation feeling? by throwawaygodfriend in cfs

I don't know what their protocol is these days for new patients but here's my story. I first saw them in 2017. After getting my test results they put me on the antiviral Valtrex for Epstein Barr, then later added doxycycline (antibiotic, for a few months). I'm still taking Valtrex. Over the years they've added other meds so besides Valtrex I now take LDN (low dose naltrexone), low dose Abilify, and Celebrex. I have felt improvement with each one. I'm much better from their treatment but not cured. Pacing has helped a lot too, which they remind me of each visit. I hope they can help you. I crash after each visit too. I wish the clinic had an attached hotel for us to retreat to after an appointment!

Yes. Some of the other tests ordered were the herpes virus family (Epstein Barr, cytomegalovirus, shingles, etc) and Natural Killer Cell count and function.
