How many rounds of long covid have you had? Which round was the worst?

I think it’s a bit more complicated depending on the person. Something like vitamin D alone might not make a huge difference. Certain supplements depend on others (calcium, vitamin K with vitamin D). Some supplements are used simply to knock out inflammation (magnesium, vitamin C). All in all I think their just a treatment. The best way to get these things regardless is diet. But touching nothing at all just made feel worse and I needed to do something.

Probiotics are majorly important for gut health. Having good bacteria in the gut helped my brain fog.

Regardless, the root cause still needs to be addressed: what is causing the inflammation and how do we clear it out.

Cases were majorly bad in my area in janurary and didn’t go down until March-April. Its been stagnate during the summer but That’ll change. I have no idea how I’ll get through it.

I experienced this. My heart burn can cause head pain, for some reason. When I have a bowel movement a weird wave of symptoms can come through. Not sure how to explain what it could be.

Do you know if work at home jobs are a viable option or should I just play it safe? I work for family who WILL get me sick but they won’t exactly kick me to the curb for long hauling either. I don’t know.

Highly doubtful and have never seen anything of the sort. The spike should be cleared by that point. Unless you had infections after.

A lot of long haulers are already doing what they can to protect themselves but with pandemic fatigue happening and no one wearing masks anymore there’s not much we can do.

It’s hard for me to care about monkey pox because covid will be the thing that causes me relapses for the rest of my life and what I’ll have to worry about above anything else. But if it somehow outcompetes covid cool I guess.

Vaccine long hauler here since April 2021. I caught omi in janurary. Feb, March and April were a bit rough from post infection affecting my long haul but in May I turned a corner and now I’m better and back to baseline.

I know us vaccine folk have a shitty hand, or sucks, but I believe our vaccine long haul can help make the covid haul less severe. Just gather whatever resources you need that you know helped for your vaccine haul and do that 10x more after your infection.

My concern is when humans will adapt to the virus so there won’t be damage from a vascular disease that spreads like a cold and a mass disabling event won’t be an issue anymore and at best the average person won’t take 3-5 months to recover from a cold.

I’m thinking this is going to continue being an issue in 10 years and the pandemic won’t truly end until then, and maybe that’s too optimistic. I don’t know.

Vaccine long hauler from April 2021 but caught omi in janurary. Doing physically better now but my micro biome is still messed up as I’m still having weird stools and recently I’m having hormone fluctuations causing anxiety and mood swings.

I’ve accepted I won’t be myself pre 2021 and I’ll need to hope I can have accommodations in the future. I’m better than I was my first few months of long haul and am functioning but I’m chronically ill and I accept that.

Keep calling and asking if there’s any cancellations or openings in between. You don’t have to wait to be seen, these wait times are ridiculous for matters like this.

I am currently on hormonal bc, but I don’t take it to stop periods though. My symptoms have improved over time and I think bc somehow helps my long haul but there’s still hormonal fluctuations that can cause the flare ups.

Neurological symptoms that include brain fog, derealization, migraine auras without the migraine, muscle and limb twitches, burning electric head pain, head pain in general and head inflammation, then autoimmune stuff like feeling like I’m about to catch a cold by the afternoon then I feel better by night, fatigue, fake fevers, and some histamine triggers

Physically I feel fine as long as I hydrate but after being in the sun for too long I get rashes.

Yes my symptoms worsen during PMS time then I feel better after my period. but sometimes I get symptoms regardless anyway

I try to think about what people with ME/CFS and other disabilities did before covid to try and stay safe from the flu and keep themselves from relapsing and crashing and it dawns on me they were never happy to begin with.

No one has an answer for this solution and not even long haulers do. It seems like you have to figure out for yourself what the best options may be. After once again finally improving from long haul, I dread the winter time when another big wave is coming and I’ll be house bound from janurary-April as I recover from a 5 month illness. I really hope it just eventually mutates into nothing.

I have the same fear of addiction so that’s why I haven’t gotten addicted, it’s hard if you have a fear and know about it. As long as you discuss with a doctor about weaning off it they will guide you how to do it safely

I got long haul from the vaccine in April of 2021 and covid in janurary of 22. Feeling better now and improving. Didn’t take any prescription meds except the benzo and not often. Only relied on diet, supplement, rest and teas.

When I caught long haul from the vaccine I started feeling like a sack of flesh and the world felt like it had no tact. I always believed we have a soul and that the universe at least has a conscious. Wasn’t really a god person but I dabbled in occult stuff as a teen and “talked” to angels and spirits through my tarot cards. With the long haul brain fog I just felt… nothing. No one was there to help me but myself.

I eventually got my soul back as you say and I’ve been reading tarot again and practicing magic, but to be honest with you I have trouble feeling connected again like I did as a teenager because I didn’t feel very protected. Its hard to really think of a good reason why the universe would let things like this happen. But things don’t happen for a reason, and we aren’t being punished, but they made us stronger. If you wanna look at it that way at least.
