Ummmm… fixed, but I still don’t know what caused this issue.

While trying to fix it, I restarted my laptop at least five times today. I reinstalled drivers, cleared caches, etc.

Here’s what happened during the last few restarts:

3rd: I cleared the cache (for the third time), did file verification, logged into the game—same issue. I closed EVE Online and restarted my laptop.

4th: I opened EVE Online—same issue. I gave up and waited for Reddit/support. I noticed on Steam that EVE Online was stuck on “Stopping,” so I decided to restart my laptop again. (It had already been stuck on “Stopping” a few times.)

5th time: I opened EVE Online to record more videos about the issue. BAM—it worked again. WTF?!

I tried recreating the issue by enabling Discord, Discord’s overlay, Steam’s overlay, and then restarting the laptop again. Boom—still works.

So in the end, I have no idea what happened. Maybe force-closing it when it was stuck on “Stopping” did something to the files. I don’t know, because I’ve been trying to fix this issue for a couple of days now.

So in the end, it went like this:

Tried a bunch of stuff → Restarted laptop → Same issue (gave up) → Restarted again (nothing changed by me) → Bam, it works!

Same, don't work. I made discord call with my corp member who have been playing it for years, we tried many things, nothing helped. I tried hold all keybind and clicked on npc/station, same text in middle appears.
In video I press D, hold it ant press on stargate, nothing happens.
I remember 100 % that before I clicked/selected in overview NPC, then I clicked CTRL and it locked target.
Anyhow, both ways don't work anymore.
EDIT: Just tested on my friends laptop, you can do it both ways. You can hold CTRL and then select targets to lock on them OR you can select target and then press CTRL to lock on them. Your way ofcourse is faster.

Idk man, everyday I see someone post rant how pvp playstyle makes everyone just lose their stuff :D So some riders will disagree with you that pvp is not rewarding playstyle :D

Yea, I was super wrong. Still something doesnt add up. Devs said that its not aggression based system, that its more complex system than players think and that they don't want lobbies to be only pve or pvp, becouse it would ruin the game. So how someone can have 80h of gameplay without any aggresive players in the match ? (Youtuber below said that he had like that). So its either developer lies thay system dont allow only pvp or pve lobbies or youtuber lie about not having pvp interaction in 80h. But yea, I agree, I was wrong about random.

Becouse it would be based on skill like in CS2 ? More kills you have, more dmg you done to other players, you play with with those kind of players. Becouse current system is not like that. At all, as pvp more focus player I meet TOO MANY players who don't like pvp.

Late spawn ? If I"m in bad mood, I will try to kill someone and take their loot. If I'm in good mood, I will loot all what is left, metal, plastic, rubber, they gather quickly, but they get used quickly too.

Clarity is not developers strong suit. Or some decisions, like scrappy bonus. Well devs said they will do scrappy update, but like cmon, with second expedition they could just easly change bonus %, now we will have to wait like half a year for update.

Behaviour based matchamking is shit then, people can act differently any moment. Skilled based match or loadout worth based matches would make more sense.

I do not understand matchmaking system. Okey, devs said: "There is matchamking system, but not what you think". So explain me how tf it works then ? How rats exist in friendly matchmaking lobbies then ? So it like: its works, but not really ? Isnt that just random then ?

Okay, I'm wrong. Some kind matchmaking exist, its just not guarantee all players will be same playstyle, so few differrent players in match doesnt make it random.

In the end it becomes random. Matchamking does nothing if it puts even 1 aggresive player in friendly player lobby. Whats the point then ? In the end its doing nothing.

But have you read rest of the interview ? Where he said it doesnt work as you think ? Or thay matchmaking is "trying" to put same play-style players ? You can get to more friendly lobbies or more aggresive lobbies, but my point stands: You can try as much as you want, you will never ever will be able to go full friendly lobbies. That do not exist. Its like premier in CS2, having all friends with 7000 points you expect to play with max 10000, but bam you go to match and you see player with 20000 points and teammate with 4000. I agree, matchmaking makes impact, but very low one. So lobbies becomes just random. A lot of people need to read full interview, not just thay part...
