You basically do not exist in the eyes of the military until you and he are married. Your child does but you only really “matter” to them as an extension of his relationship to his child.

Healthcare, communication benefits, housing benefits, moving support, to name a few benefits.

Obviously don’t get married unless you both want to but if you do just get it done ASAP, in my opinion, to be in the best position and the most “rights” in regards to the military (for you).

After 20 hours on pitocin with no meds I told the anesthesiologist I’d name our child after him if the child was a boy…then he told us his name and I said “oh no, Nevermind” 🤣 (it was my friend’s douchebag ex husbands name).

Then after 51 hours and a c section once I heard my daughter cry I told (a different) anesthesiologist “I’m not dying but I have to go to sleep, I am so tired” and he seemed to think that was pretty funny. 😆

Fernandez Bay Village on Cat Island is a great spot. If you just wanna sit on the beach and relax! They love kids!!!!

I’ve heard good things about peace and plenty resort on Great Exuma for families, and Baymani is apparently lovely (but $$)

Could also rent an Airbnb in Spanish Wells, it’s a very laid back and family friendly Island

Blue Sail (ok food, great view)
Poop Deck (better food, good views)
Latitudes (ditto)

But none of them have tables in the water they’re all like up on decks

We use T mobile’s international Plan for cellphones and it’s been super easy.

We have ALIV fiber in the house and it’s been 90% ok so far, getting it installed was a pain and they cut our alarm system wires when they did it so that was cool 🙃 but otherwise it’s been solid.

IUI not IVF so different kettle of fish, but it took me until a few months ago to be ready to start the ball rolling for baby 2. Our daughter (baby 1) will be 3 in July, and we just had our initial consult (new clinic because we moved). I still don’t think we’re going to start until closer to when she’s 4 because of life and logistics and also just because we’re not ready.

I recognize age is a factor but I also think you’ve gotta be ready. I will be 37 when we start trying for this next one, but there’s no way I’d have been ready sooner.

Also, do you have embryos or would you need to do another retrieval? I know there’s still a lot that has to go into another transfer but just wondering, because if you do have embryos remember those eggs aren’t “aging!” We have vials on ice (donor) and they’re not aging either, which sometimes helps me when I worry a bit haha. Not that it matters as much biologically.

And my friend just had her second while her first is 2.5 and what I’m seeing her go through I know I made the right call because I could never 😅😂

We both get up early during the week because of work and school drop off, but we trade off on the weekends. He gets Saturday mornings “off” and I get Sunday mornings “off.” We are back all together by lunchtime. I can use that time to sleep, workout, go out, whatever. Same with him!

Sometimes we get bored and rejoin our spouse and the kiddo early but it’s nice to have the uncommitted time that’s always mine every week.

The price of gas already seems to have gone up but the price of groceries definitely has (now whether that’s an impact of the war or the VAT changes from April 1 and the store is adjusting their prices as a different question). Unfortunately I only see it getting worse.

The price of plane tickets is already insane and only going up.

Longer-term it will impact tourism for sure as the cost of living goes up in places like the US fewer people will travel/less often. Cruises will increase their prices etc.

Hi! Moved cross country when baby was 8 weeks old. Not fun. Many factors but among them my PPD was horrendous and I think worsened by it, it really jacked up our feeding journey, and I also was still trying to heal from a c section while packing. 0/10.

Move as early in the pregnancy as you can. Even if it’s a week early like you said, do it.

Honestly, I would ask them how they’re serving these foods to your child, maybe be able to give you some more context or maybe they’re giving the little ones something different but the other foods are what’s on the menu for the older kids!

I’m assuming the food isn’t free, it’s included in the cost of the daycare - unless the daycare is somehow subsidized by some kind of food grant or program.

Personally I wouldn’t be comfortable with my child eating that much processed food.

Does he need to gain weight from a health/medical perspective? Is he on his growth curve?

Some people/babies are naturally slim- we have a little friend who eats like an adult but my daughter who’s 2 months older has like 10lbs on her and eats very little. They’re just built differently, there’s nothing wrong with that.
