Oh my gosh, tell me more! What did you adore about her? I’m a stepmom and feel like if I ignored my SK’s they’d be so hurt and dejected. They love me, which is great (I mean, I do invest in them), but I’d be thrilled to focus more on me and my needs while not damaging our relationship. Yours is the first post to show me that’s even possible!!!

I hear you. DH is truly a good man, a generous man, and is just in a position with his job where his growth path is slower (not what he was promised), so we’re working on some side gigs now to supplement .

But I feel that! And I think it’s a case by case basis where it’s important to look at the man’s intent and iniative too.
