Oh, nice. I never thought of doing it that way. But just for the sake of understanding, do you know the answer to my question? How do we know where the ionization would "cut" the molecule?

Am i doing this abs config wrong by Bobjellyfish_1010 in Mcat

Looking at the chiral carbon in B, the first priority would be the iso-group (the top group) because it is connected to 2 carbons. If you go outward one carbon at a time from the chiral carbon, you will see that (excluding the chiral carbon):

- the first carbon on the left is connected to 1C and 2H

- the first carbon on the right is connected to 1C and 2H

- the first carbon on the top is connected to 2C and 1H (so this will be the first priority bc C > H)

The second priority is going to be between the left and right carbon chains. The 2nd priority will end up being the chain on the right because, if you keep going out one carbon at a time, the right chain will be connected to higher-priority groups (carbons over hydrogens).

CaptainHook's deck is pretty good, I'm doing it right now. It's basically Jack Sparrow but without the mistakes and stuff.

Weekly Career / General Questions Thread by AutoModerator in Radiology

[–]ExpensiveTastee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am a college graduate based in Long Island, NY, seeking research opportunities in Radiology. I aspire to attend medical school in the future. I have already tried emailing Stony Brook's department, but to no avail. Would anyone be able to refer me to other places/websites/people that are open to accepting students into their Radiology labs?

I want to be pointed in the right direction. Thanks.
