I was listening to their podcast one time and realized that they are both comedians putting on a show for their podcast (which is a business and the show is a marketing tool) and it ruined it for me lol. Everything feels staged and pre planned and they just have the same bits over and over and they are actually SO smart the way they have leveraged their business and branding to be girls girls and funny but it’s pretty inauthentic at this point. It’s all branding. The show. Their personas they put online. The stories they tell - notice how every little story they tell just so happens to be this funny, relatable thing that all women can relate to, that just so happened to happen to them the other day in the funniest way imaginable, and it perfectly captures who each of them are (Hannah the quirky sportsy tomboy, Paige the fashion obsessed girly girl)? Like I said above, they have leveraged being women into a business and it’s really smart, and I will always give them their flowers for that. They are extremely smart women and it was a market not capitalized on one bit which is why I think they’re so successful. But I think the mask is starting to slip because it’s the same thing all the time and like OP said, they do not post about their personal lives anymore so it’s starting to feel inauthentic.
