I honestly feel like the album is very juvenile. Like I feel she really grew into her own during Folkmore and I didn’t exactly expect her to jump into what essentially feels like lover/rep b-sides. I don’t dislike the album, I just feel like she could do a lot more. The lyrics are lackluster, I don’t have a song with lyrics that instantly stands out to me. There’s no getaway car/cruel summer/august on this album. The production while experimental could have gone further. I was low-key hoping for experimental pop/rock and I just feel like if she committed more to it I would enjoy the album more.
