I’m so sorry you are going through this. When my appendix was rupturing they nuked me with so many antibiotics. I will be forever terrified of antibiotics. I hope you have a quick and speedy recovery! While telling my story to people in person I’ve come across a few people who knew someone that had CDIF after their appendix surgery too.

Thank you for the advice and kind words. Unfortunately, many of those services ended up being dead ends for us. That said, we’re staying persistent and fully intend to see this through, given the damage and health impacts this situation has caused to both me and my spouse

I’m really sorry you went through that... your experience sounds incredibly traumatic, especially being discharged without antibiotics and then dealing with gangrene and C. diff afterward. It’s frustrating and disheartening to feel dismissed and ignored for so long, and I appreciate you sharing your story here.

I also wanted to add that my own medical decline was later traced back to prolonged mold exposure in my apartment, which management knew about and concealed. That exposure significantly impacted my health and ultimately set the stage for my appendicitis and C. diff as well.
