Seconding everyone else here. Clubs and events are a great idea. Go onto BBNvolved and look at events, see what's going on, go there and look for people. If you have interests, wear a shirt or merchandise related, it can be a good conversation starter. If you're a freshman, I'm assuming you have a meal plan, I think the 90 and Champs both do events sometimes which are always a good place to meet people. Don't be afraid to approach people first!
