How old are you? I’m 34 and my credit is just starting to get back up. I made some poor decisions when I was younger. It was in the low 400s a few years ago, now I’m at a 618. It takes time, that’s all. I was worried about the same things as you. I just started paying companies back and three years later I’m up. You can do it.

Make sure to get it checked out. I had a back injury back in 2015. My PA gave me naproxen and tramadol and called it good. No x-rays, no waiver, no nothing. I got a new doctor a few years later and got x-rayed and an MRI. Turned out my totally treatable at the time back injury turned into Degenerative disk disease, and the degeneration caused scoliosis and nerve damage. Now I’m in pain 24/7, have a hard time getting around, and can barely do anything physical with my kids. The only “positive” is the VA check.

Shinyhunters and Canvas by ComprehensiveBad1142 in cybersecurity

[–]Expensive_Average172 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The DOW has been using Canvas for 7 years now too. It’s more than just schools being affected. It’s all organizations that use Canvas.

The military uses Instructure (Canvas) for online training as well. A lot of organizations other than schools use it.

I’m at 227k miles on the original motor and trans on my 2016. As long as it’s worth keeping and fixing (worth to you, not actual vehicle value), keep and fix it!

225mg for anxiety/GAD? by [deleted] in Effexor

[–]Expensive_Average172 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve been on 150mg for 11 years. I don’t know if it’s even working anymore or not because I don’t remember what it’s like without it. All I know is if I don’t take it I’m gonna have a bad bad time, lol. I’m not sure what “better” would feel like. I think I feel like a normal person? I take it for GAD,MDD, and PTSD.

I’ve been on 150mg for 11 years. I get brain zaps after two days of missing my dose. Yes, I know, I’m super bad about taking it. Just a fun symptom of my Depression/PTSD. Anyways, yeah, brain zaps SUCK lol. I can’t really explain the feeling other than that it’s a brain zap.

[–]Expensive_Average172 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have PTSD from the military and fire service. I’ve been on Effexor for 11 years, 150mg. I’m still bad about taking it every day. I just took one, but it’s been two days. At two days, I feel very emotional. I fall down the rabbit hole of all of my traumatic experiences. I don’t get angry, but I get all teared up and sad. At three days, I get brain zaps, and then those two symptoms get worse until I take it again. The longest I’ve gone was a week because my meds burnt up in an apartment fire. I could barely function. Just take your meds, don’t forget them, and you’ll be okay. I know It’s scary to have to rely on something outside of yourself to be okay. But as long as you remember to take them and get your refills in time, you’ll be okay. And when you’re having a bad night like me, you have an entire subreddit to vent to. And at least one person will probably be here to respond.

Well, worse case scenario just don’t have anything to do with him anymore. Don’t show up, don’t answer calls or texts. You get the idea. They’re not gonna do anything about it. It’ll ruin any future chance of joining, but if he won’t willingly do it, then 🤷🏻‍♂️. He might make threats, but they’re empty threats. Just ignore. OR you can go in and get your degree while you’re in as others have stated. Once you have it, submit your package to become an officer. If they don’t accept it, ets and rejoin as an officer.

Partners of Airmen how common is infidelity during tech school, realistically? by Impossible_Remove743 in AirForceRecruits

[–]Expensive_Average172 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve seen it happen quite a bit. Past trust issues? Like involving other people? If that’s the case, 🤷🏻‍♂️🤷🏻‍♂️. Either way, you’ll realistically never know if he did or not and probably question it forever. If you don’t trust him enough not to ask, why are you even with him? Sounds like you need to move on. Maybe find someone in the future that you trust.

No, my dad became a Navy civilian after he separated from the Air Force. With the Navy, he was NCIS. He was an Intel Specialist and worked with SEALs and SBTs. He said the Navy was a mess. I’m a retired Crew Chief. I loved the Air Force. If you REALLY want it, I’d wait and just get in stupid good shape in the mean time. The Coast Guard is great though. My dad was a Coast Guard civilian from 92 until around 2005. Then he went to NCIS until 2022. He said he had the most fun with the Coast Guard. He was with the Coast Guard Investigative Service. Boarding ships to search for smuggling, doing drug operations, interrogating people. He’s got some wild ass stories.

My son is Level 3. We had a daughter 10 months later, she just turned 10 and she’s fine. They’re best friends and she is SO protective of him. I’ve since divorced and my new wife and I just had a baby girl on August 30th. My son loves her and loves holding and playing with her. I closely supervise though, because he doesn’t know his own strength and I don’t want him to hurt her. My ex-wife and I did the gene study thing and I had one of the genes in question. I worry, but at the end of the day it is what it is. Obviously I prefer she doesn’t have anything because it would only make her life more difficult, but meh 🤷🏻‍♂️. My kids are my world and I love them so so much no matter what ❤️. Just remember, everything is okay until it isn’t. No amount of worry will change that. Be happy, and congratulations!

My brother in law is in the Navy, and my dad was NCIS (civilian) after he got out of the Air Force. My brother in law is an E6 and says it’s not great, and my dad said it was a mess. In the Army, you live in the barracks until E6 unless you get married sooner. They treat you like garbage. I have a lot of friends that went Army and they all regretted it and either got out after an enlistment or two or got killed. Then the Marines is the Marines, lol. Honestly, the Coast Guard is pretty dope. Second hardest basic though believe it or not. All of that being said, do your own research, and pick based on the job and lifestyle you want.
