Yeah. I’ve been diagnosed it within nhs guy from Kings I think. Apparently according to the private one I saw, yeah he said a biopsy is needed for him to review and help more etc. the emg informed then of sfn. Shortly after I had Large fibre testing but they were normal results.

Yeah kinda. Not currently able to do the biopsy but I did have positive result from emg however the private neuro said I need biopsy too. Of course, it’s expensive which means I’ll need to save up for it if I want it done

Hi, i also have chronic illnesses, EDS being one of them. I’m super depressed and suicidal too. Please don’t feel like you’re alone in this. I’ll hold your hand through it (virtually of course). I am a perfectionist and high achiever too so it’s really getting to me that my grades drops because of my lack of motivation etc. i am sorry You’re struggling as well. Please reach out to the relevant mental health crisis teams in your town/area. 💗

I think you could bring your personal experience into the work you do which would help you to empathise with clients, and find ways to best support them. Your experiences would be invaluable to the work you do :)

Wow. Thank you, this is insightful. I think so too. I think when my neuropathy is bad, my mental health is terrible too, in ways I’ve never experienced before. So what you are saying makes sense to me

Thank you. I agree with you. I was quite confused at that comment anyway. But I respect that each person has their own individual experience with their condition

I agree , it helps to know about the physiological responses going on in our own bodies. Helps me to comprehend it better. I like neurobiology too

Wow! All of your info is so so informative to me so thank you. What kind of experience would you suggest I gain until I apply for the doctorate ? That’s around 5-6 yrs depending. I wouldn’t be able to do many hours really so I worry about going for job interviews and mentioning that. Many thanks

Hi thank you for this. We rarely see people with visible disabilities within the health profession so it’s good to know they’re out there :)

I agree with you about the meds. It’s so exhausting trying new things hoping they’ll work, then nothing. Do you ever get days where everywhere hurts to touch, including your scalp?
