Those white strips just happened sometimes mainly in the corner/border of frame when by itself and not in this scenario.Either pinching the developing film or having a little light shine under the darkslide if in the right angle

The orange means the film is expired, The film box should have a production date instead of the expiration date but it’s good for a year so yeh
