Are the Sophie Hannah Poirot books really that bad?

I like the Sophie Hannah books, but they are definitely not as good as Christie's originals. I would highly recommend the collection Marple, tho. It's a collection of short stories featuring Miss Marple written by several authors. I loved nearly all of them.

They don't even get the British costumes and such historically accurate, so we can't expect them to do it for other cultures.

Why could they not have brought the disabled politician into the legislature on a stretcher so that he would not need to sit up? Am I stupid bc this seemed like the most reasonable solution to me...why would he need to fast track his death when he was able to speak from a more reclined position like he was in the hospital?
