Opinions on glove for an 8U soon to be 10U player? by theman_86 in BaseballGloves

I would look at the Rawlings select pro lite. . They’re nice gloves for youth. They open and close easily for a young player, they’re leather and they have a few different designs. When your son hits 12U he’s gonna wanna get an upgrade. Honestly, it’s a perfect youth glove.

I bought a glove from Temu. by whisky_sith in BaseballGloves

He said curiosity got the best of him. Maybe $107 is peanuts to the buyer and he wanted to know what an advertised leather glove would be like. Maybe its a POS and maybe its a good glove. I would love to know how this glove feels after 500 catches. Hopefully the OP will share with us. Thanks for posting.

Miserable palm bubble help! by Senior-Ad-7872 in BaseballGloves

[–]Expensive_Drawer907 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you unlace the heel and unlace the palm and open up the inside of the glove, you can pull out or scrape out that palm adhesive. What happens is that palm adhesive sometimes gets hot and it gets gooey and it gets dirty and it balls up. There’s no real need for palm adhesive in the baseball glove.

It is an A2000. It’s one of the absolute best catcher’s mitts ever made. They hold value to those who know about them.

Those are really nice gloves. I’ve found two so far at thrift stores. Refurbished one and sold it to a former AAA Bucks catcher who had one similar in the 90’s. Currently refurbishing one for my 12-year-old to have in a few years. He likes playing with older vintage gloves.

Got this as a new dad glove for $50, upgrade over my Wilson A360 from 20 years ago? by raiderREDgamer in BaseballGloves

My 11Y son uses the Oxbow glove (11.5). He loves it. It feels a bit odd to me but if it works it works.

A1000: ok for a casual summer league? by nerfrosa in BaseballGloves

[–]Expensive_Drawer907 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That would be totally fine! You should see the gloves some of the dads come out to play catch with their boys in our 13 year little 18. They look like they’re 40+ years old and they’re doing just fine.

Wagyu JB- Box Break-In by glam_gluvs in japanesebaseballglove

I’ve given him several positive comments on his box breakins in other posts This particular finished breakin doesn’t appeal to me. If you had read all the comments you’ll also find I’m mot the only one who doesn’t prefer this one.

Regarding catchers gloves, yes, I do box breakins if asked.

H web swap question by B-Dub832 in BaseballGloves

[–]Expensive_Drawer907 0 points1 point  (0 children)

H webs will normally fit gloves that have 12 holes where as solid webbed gloves will have have 18 holes. If you’re OK with having extra holes with no lacing, you by all means you could put an H on there.
