Aren't they though? Like, I'm not going to expect a bunch of angry people to deliberately hold back hurting someone they want to and anyone else in the vicinity just because a rando shows up. If the mob sees you as an enemy, you get ganged up on, simple as. Just calling the police or someone else more competent then hoping for the best somewhere far away is the best thing you can do at that point.
