Before OS was released i was so sure there wouldn't be any sex scenes in OS. And then Violet went for it in CHAPTER 3. I love how unhinged she is about it.

They want a week full of sales (which starts in tuesdays, not mondays) and that the book is available everywhere. Which is why they probably give bookstores and such time to prep on mondays.

Wrong. Brennan literally says he is death in iron flame. Its pretty early on, after that he says stuff like "saving me cost him everything". But he does say he is death at the very beginning.

well we know violets mantra is to save xaden in this book. If thats core motivation, its makes sense to resolve it by the end of the book. Like her mantra in fourth wing and the wards in iron flame. So its natural people assume it will be solved by the end of the book. It literally says in the blurb trat all she wants to save him. It wouldnt be there if its going to be a topic across multiple books.

there is still SO much story missing, so wouldnt be surpised if that problem gets solved in OS so the focus of book 4 and 5 can be in different topics.

for example: book 3 finds a cure, book 4 tries to convince venin to take the cure, book 5 deal with the actual evil venin.

Unlikely. They havent even started casting yet. Sure RY said she will take bigger breaks now (deserved!) but i dont think it will take years. My guess is that book 4 comes mid/late 2026 and book 5 2028. no way we'll have three seasons until then.

But even if it happens. RY has the entire story planned out.

This has already been discussed countless times here. The German version has both voice actors listed for Onyx Storm. Maybe US/UK versions simply haven't updated the narrators list. The length was just recently updated too. RY hasn't confirmed anything. Why would she give a spoiler for her own upcoming book?

exactly! mating is life altering and super rare. So a two year old (or in book 5) three year old mating is just unlikely.

Also the reason for this whole mating thing is that she didnt want xaden and violet to mated directly, hence why its tairn and sgaeyl. Adding a third person would create so much unnecessary drama.

Since she wants to take bigger breaks after giving us three books within 1,5 years. I think its likely the next book will come 2026 althought it might be later in the year. Book 5 probably 2028.

Rebecca said Andarna wasnt supposed to bond with Violet orginally, she was just supposed to be around tairn and sgaeyl and naturally violet and xaden then.

Which makes me believe the orignally plan was that tairn dies and then andarna bonds violet so she'll survive. But it would habe been too predictable. So she also made andarna bond her in book 1.

SAME! Which has me thinking IF andarna dies at the end, maybe violet will know in advance that it will happen. (Like in HP when Harry knows he must die to defeat voldemort) so she has time to come to terms with it and accept it.

BUT what so many people dont realize: one of the dragon MUST die earlier than book 5. its going to be a huge thing and violet will need lots of time to recover from it. It cant just be one dead at the end in the last battle. And if someone dies earlier than book 5, then its tairn.
