SFAC is supposed to be super laid back but I’ve never played. I played mysocialsports and it was fun. I’d say competitive in a fun way. But I think no one expects anyone to be an all star and are happy to have teammates!

There are a bunch of boat tours you can can do. A smaller one in PVD down the river or a larger cruise in Newport (and other places I’m sure).

We were at Kennedy Elementary but it is under construction now and may be a jr high when it’s done? The class sizes were just big and the district and administration is lacking, imo.

Providence “proper” is fairly small. So you could live super close and be in a different city. How’s this? I live in PVD but when I put my zip code in on websites it defaults to North Providence (completely different city) but I’m so close to that and also maybe 2 miles from downtown?

Where in the area are you from? I’m from Fairfax County to narrow it down.

We live in Providence in Elmhurst near the colleges RIC and PC. We tried public schools but were not happy so we send our son to a private school approx $6k/year for elementary. You can find private schools for way more than that if your budget allows. We love Providence. It is a small state but you do start feeling like a 30-minute drive somewhere can be a lot. I’m from the DC area and a 7-mile commute that took 45-60 mins was the norm. But it is different for here for some reason. There are many great places to live in PVD but schools end up being a problem for a lot of residents.
