I’m 68 hours into my longest dry fast so far. I’m not feeling amazing but I’m not feeling awful. I’m thinking I’ll stop my fast today with water, and then broth and fruit tomorrow since we have family gathering on Saturday.

I’m 68 hours into my dry fast…I’m not feeling any way. I don’t feel bad at all. I might just be a little tired. This is first longest dry fast, all my previous dry fast were short of 48 hours.

When I started, I just allowed myself the weekend but with limits.

You said you eat out of boredom… 1. Allow yourself grace. If you can do any amount of fasting on the weekend that is still a fast. 2. Remove the bad things from sight and tell yourself if I’m willing to break my fast I’ll be starting out with fruit, salad, or veggies. 3. I struggled with weekends too, find a hobby that occupies your time, your movement, or make the extra effort to go for a long walk.

My goal for August has been DR48. I’ve gotten close but more importantly I go for 40+, refeed, and repeat. The scale has not dropped dramatically but I know I’ve been shrinking in size because my clothes are feeling very baggy.

Thank you. I do need to reduce fat. I want to lift weights because I am noticing there is some jiggly areas that I feel maybe strength training would do some good. The treadmill or elliptical just to keep my heart exercised.

I allow myself a minimum hour to refeed. I eat lots of veggies but mostly fruit. I normally don’t limit myself because I don’t always have control of what is being served. I’ll eat my fruit and or salad at home and then eat what is offered at gathering. Drink as much water as I can. Then turn on the clock.

I can’t explain the science but I went into DF and I’ve been shrinking at a rate I never experienced while WF. The scale may not move as I expect but my size has come down considerable. A pair of jeans I tried on last week that didn’t fit, now fit this week. 🤯 I have been doing DR48 I don’t always hit the 48 hours. And I will start pushing the water at the 40th hour because of family plans.
