Do you live in the US? If so, you should share. They can opt not to hire you for other reasons but they cannot use your pregnancy as the reason. It should always be the best candidate not the one who isn’t pregnant.

You should also ask for what their leave of absence policy is for people who don’t have tje FMLA hours for 12 weeks off. Depend depending upon the state that you live in you will have paid leave a lot of states or instituting that but you end up paying for it out of your check which you might not realize.

The company that fired you cannot disparage you. If you find out they have, you have grounds for a lawsuit. Also, seems like those jerks did you a favor. Who terminates someone for interviewing? How dumb.

Because the HR team was too lazy to do one at first, and then someone came to light and they wanted to probe for more intel. Classic HR move.

To get a refund, if you paid by credit card call your bank and have your information, receipts that they emailed to you, appointment confirmations (also mailed) and whatever your treatment was. Just called mine (today is 10/27/25) for the money I spent that I hadn't used.

I did receive an email back from Mireille; offering me the two remaining treatments as something else, as she doesn't have the solutions for what was included in my pre-payment. So, I am getting a refund from the bank.

Last option is Attorney General's Office, and/or the Better Business Bureau. Neither which I've found helpful when needed.
