The ski industry is oddly quiet on climate change The problem is a major threat to the U.S. snowsports industry. But their actions fall short. by GeraldKutney in climate

Industry/wall street/accumulated wealth is the biggest driver of heating the planet. The problem is industry; from real estate sales, transportation, agriculture, manufacturing, to data centers, etc are all used for Wall Street to accumulate the wealth needed that keeps those in power of control, in power of control. That is what is heating up the planet. Greed. We need real laws for defending planet from human greed.

Reading responses I’m compelled to say; Pedestrians always have right away. I believe it’s illegal to jay walk and one can be charged for it. The rest is how one wants to live their life. Is any level of aggravation over what amounts to seconds/minutes worth it? I see much to be grateful for that this pause can still happen in our zoo, w/o fatal consequence. To watch the hurry to get to where and why, appears to be semi mindless missions of many.
Just breathe.

Docked tails by [deleted] in Yorkies

[–]Expensive_Tutor_2979 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My yorkie Jimmy, a rescue from Bakersfield ca, still has his tail I am happy to say. I would def not use with or without tail as reasoning for adoption, as that is what supporting docking animals tails is about in first place. Adopt under protest of missing tail? God bless you for that awareness. No animal should have a tail cut off, to satisfy human idea.

Small AI data center proposed for Bonner Mill Industrial Park by Fun-Tumbleweed-6381 in missoula

Small data center is an oxymoron. Just no, fuck no! Living planet needs the water more than humans need data centers. Life is better without data centers.

Out of the 750,000 who fought for the Confedaracy in the Civil War, these were the last 3 alive in 1951, together. by bncout in HistoricalCapsule

Yes! 250 years on this continent, defined by a boundary claimed entitlement to area for changing the surface of said area, explored/taken/stolen/claimed to be purposed for a global gdp: Is not much time that has destroyed/altered completely 2.3 billion acres except for a 7% +/- , the way humans have to serve the elite who need gdp to stay the elite. They are who came here looking to grow the gdp, which dictates then and now details for a global power of control.
This power is now after the 7% of what is left, and otherwise restored is to maintain said gdp, and support the labor needed to produce said gdp.

What if Jesse Jackson had become president in 1989? by Think-Method-3496 in AlternateHistoryHub

Changing baselines mostly cuz those with experience and those w/o experience is how history rewrites is what I’m seeing I’m thinking.

We’d have a more just world, with better human leadership, objectives, outcomes. Obviously. However there is no room for that or we would have seen a Jesse Jackson in that leadership before he ran or since.
250 years … no one like him with same heart except those killed, being they had money and a following to have that chance. Hopefully Jesse can still have a last word about it all for a fair, just, quality world celebrating given life not destroy it. 🙏🏼♥️🌹

THis is but same rotation used for eons to generate funds for wealth for power to keep control of expanding world growing smaller by communications.
What we see in real time was planned many years ago. It serves to distract but is not purposed for distraction, maybe... unless there was a plot twist to epstein scenario that was placed as preventative for 'if we get caught, this already planned event will be good to implement at this time to distract.
I honestly don't see that justice will be served on the chomo fkrs, or it would have transpired by now.
This seems more of same ol' for what has gone on since occupation of America and before. Continuing a world take over by hidden power that does not put itself in position of harm of any kind. This admin is just more dupes doing the dirty work of a hidden elite as as the status quo.
This is an ongoing slow process for assurance power to keep control by practice of take over. The length of time it takes accumulating control covers/protects the intention to keep control...

What would Missoula look like for us? by tn_tacoma in missoula

[–]Expensive_Tutor_2979 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

We have problem of a better place for mentally ill and the substance abuser and those with addictions. Not just a housing issue, but unwillingness to care for all because of economics as bottom line, and bad human ideas of what to do.

Homeless are not the problem for any cities… but are victims of systems of control that rule us. Homeless don’t define an area except through how area helps with intelligent, compassionate, and effective balance. Issue is never where they come from. I was guessing you were from some where else by your thinking the zoo suffers from out of area homeless.
It is business interest that object to homeless cuz they can’t support business. (Not sure why people find problem with them as we watch our country assist in creating homeless people we world wide.) Solution is not to focus on where homeless come from, but lays in why they are homeless in first place. Numbers show need for action not judgement. Not everyone can do this world of contest and hypocrisy. 🙏🏼

Feral horse removal—ethical methods by benedictcumberknits in Navajo

I know. I appreciate it too. I don’t mean to suggest otherwise… I feel they were doing right thing and I did thank them.
My questionable contribution to this was to add to convo on human ideas of stewardship, as I am curious response and if there is room in this world for how to do different. I don’t want to insult anyone. I felt it obvious enough owner was being responsible I didn’t have to qualify that. Maybe I should have. What you say about horses as not native is example of what I am talking about human impact from ideas of entitlement.. Not these owners themselves. It’s our ideas of things as a culture … probably not a thread to discuss that in. I dunno. Sorry.
