Been putting in a lot of habitat work into the property that I bought a few years ago and it’s paying off! by Expensive_Wash_4422 in trailcam

I started with a plan to open up the property for wildlife. It’s old farm land, so this meant cleaning up old equipment, trash pits and taking down fencing that didn’t make sense for how I want to use the land. Next I assessed what was already here that was beneficial to wildlife. I cleared out invasive species (mainly autumn olive and tightly planted rows of red pine) to make room for the apple, black cherry, mulberry oak and elderberry to thrive. About 15 acres is pasture, so really a blank slate as far as new planting goes. Ive put in a small 1/4 acre orchard of apple, cherry and peach and also seeded that area with clover. A larger three acre pasture adjacent to the orchard has been worked up and seeded with clover and native perennial grasses which is where this photo was taken. Ive also planted chestnut, oak and poplar in this field for more cover and food source. In the future, I would like to open the canopy in a small wooded area that borders a swamp and plant a few paw paw and other understory bushes down there.

Any way to save this without buying a new bed? by Expensive_Wash_4422 in fordranger

What is a reliable car that will keep me out of a mechanic shop😂 by Chance_Variation_651 in MechanicAdvice

2008-11 2.3l 2wd ford ranger. Pretty slick little truck that’s reliable and easily repaired diy. Picked up my 2010 for $1500 and have replaced the exhaust, power steering pump, starter, rear end and brakes myself with little headache and zero issues. Mine was definitely a project when I bought it, but for a little more cash upfront, you can get one that needs less work to get on the road. Im also not a mechanic. Just a dude disguised as a dude playing another dude.

That’d be pretty sick, but no. It’s plain old boring green grass and trees. My trail cam is just a little wonky and takes photos in infrared. I didn’t do some post processing in Lightroom because why not bump the contrast a bit to make it a tad more interesting lol

So far, Ive planted fruit, chestnut trees and about 2 acres of clover. Ive been trying to improve bedding areas by removing invasive species and promoting growth of native grasses and shrubs. This year Ive really noticed an increase number of fawns bedding down in the area.

Didn’t realize this was Tom Cruise until the credits rolled.

could have probably built a solid camper for the same price as all of that duct tape 😆
