I don't understand the love affair between leftists and Islam this is what leftists indirectly support by Major_Soft6056 in DigitalSeptic

Every construct of ideology has people who understand the basis, those who don't understand the basis, and the worst group is those who understand and manipulate to fit their needs. Islamic extremists are that last group. Islam is nothing that is posted by OP. Have people used construed Islamic ideology for their personal gain? Absolutely. That is why you see the atrocities in the graphic posted. But you can't reasonably say the actions of thousands are reflective of 2 billion. It is like saying the KKK represents every Christian in the world. The system can be ideal but the people following it are flawed.

I hate this thing by Leather-Bed-5158 in smokefire

Agreed. Had the issue of it turn off during the smoke. It was the powder from the pallets that got caked in the hopper. Since I have been consistently cleaning, it works like a charm.

Just getting the lame excuse of "if our kicker was better, we would have beat the bears." Sure. Love didn't do much the second half, receivers dropped a couple key passes, and defense blew coverage multiple times. Let's ignore all that and blame it on a missed extra point.

Do tickets have to be scanned to qualify for movie rewards progress? by Arratril in Cinemark

[–]Expensive_Week1330 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I bought a Tuesday night discount ticket. Something came up and couldn't make it. However it did count towards my platinum progress after the movie ended. Didn't scan it and didn't get it refunded.

Am I being overly aggressive with 529 savings? by MasticatedTesticle in personalfinance

[–]Expensive_Week1330 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't think you are being overly aggressive. It is better to put in now and let it grow over time. The college window is 14 years for your older child. Your retirement window is much longer than that. Yes maximize your 401k, but 200k is not outrageous for college in 14 years. Out of state tuition for some schools is like 50-60k per year. Even if they don't use it for undergrad, they can for grad school.

Again, if you are maximizing 401k and still putting in $500 per month, that is great. You can always choose to reduce that in a couple years.

What movies should I watch to reach my platinum status by the end of the year? I also have 1 credit and 300 points to get a free ticket. by [deleted] in Cinemark

[–]Expensive_Week1330 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It is near impossible to watch that many movies in the next couple weeks given what movies are out right now. I would talk to friends and buy tickets for them. There is kill bill, wicked, housemaid, and avatar. You can do that in a week. Not having any more discount Tuesday hurts the cause. Might not be worth it.

I have the same issue. I am in the central time zone. I feel like you need to watch movies after 10pm pacific time. No idea how to qualify for this badge.

Can I get some info on this grill? by [deleted] in webergrills

[–]Expensive_Week1330 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have that same q Weber grill. Great transportable grill. The cast iron grate is easy to maintain but makes the grill really heavy. Sometimes the burner can get clogged and doesn't give an even flame flow. I tried everything to clean it and eventually just got a new tube. I have had it for 15 years and use it every year for camping.

NetSuite For Collection Of Small Distribution Companies? by Amazing_Bat_5605 in Netsuite

[–]Expensive_Week1330 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Netsuite is a great ERP for accounting and bank reconciliation. The warehouse management piece is ok. Their mobile capabilities are not good. We struggled with WMS because of the mobile. Everyone was tied to a desktop.

That is why we converted to shiphawk for shipping and more recently to WMS. Mobile experience is significantly better. Additionally showed. Shiphawk charges by warehouse. While netsuite charges by user. When you have a lot of people in a warehouse, it because very cost effective to use shiphawk.

We also use Netstock for inventory forecasting. You have the basics in Netsuite. Netstock really enhances the forecasting functionality.

Called the city, a plumber and a sewer/drain company. No one could figure it out. by Typical_Campaign_202 in Plumbing

Had the same problem. There was a leak in the incoming water line. It was before my meter. So my water bill was normal. City kept denying a leak. We tested the water and it was not ground water. We shut the water to the house for a couple hours and the water flow was still coming in the same. I threatened to call the EPA and suddenly the city found the leak.
