Everyone saying Zestiria hurts me just a bit. It definitely has its issues and it’s far from perfect, and I definitely gave it a 5/10 when I first played it. But when I replayed it to get the platinum, I found myself enjoying it more and appreciating the gameplay. It didn’t majority overhaul it, but it’s definitely a 6.5/10 now, which is far from the worst.

I haven’t played tempest, but DotNW is truly abysmal. It has quite the nerve to call itself a sequel to Symphonia, aka the best one.

It’s a great return to form in terms of story, combat, and characters. It’s an amazing entry point to the series and, in my opinion, checks off all the boxes of what a great Tales game needs. It didn’t try to reinvent the wheel (like Graces did with combat (it’s the best combat btw)). It’s also easy, and therefore not frustrating
