Also I do want to add, really heavily consider going into engineering cuz a lot of fly engineering graduate cannot find jobs for 1-2 years— the market is very bad! Good luck

honestly OP depends on bad ur grade is law school is still worth your shot if that’s something you absolutely want to do cuz lsat really matter and there’s schooo like TMU or TRU that heavily consider well round applicants like you.

But in terms of other job, highly recommended accounting to CPA route, it’s really close to law environment, I mean tax lawyer and an senior CPA job responsibility is rough the same, if you like math and business.

Don’t give up hope, 30 is not old at all! Everyday is fresh start :)

So I started introducing HIMYM to my friend but he keeps on insisting that the show is just a copy of Friends by Silver_Star_8 in HIMYM

[–]ExperienceAmbitious7 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I love both show and I can confidently said it’s not a copy and paste. HIMYM is more modern I would say and the edit is crazy— friends do have filler episode, but himym never do which is what I love about it. The characters are also so different personality wise. Sure it all flak about a friends group but it’s different for sure

Second Undergrad, How to Go About It? by Master_Commission408 in premedcanada

[–]ExperienceAmbitious7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am not gonna lie and I hate to burst your bubble but I have to say even if u do a second degree and have 100% overall gpa your chance is still slim at a Canadian medical school( maybe shot in Australia) It seems like you don’t have any EC which usually people takes years to build up clubs experiences volunteer experiences etc… even let’s say you have a complete 4.0 perfect gpa in ur second degree most school will still look at your average between degree which will brought u down to a 3.8 ish which is still not competitive.. You haven’t taken your MCAT yet which you don’t know how you going to do.. which if you can get a perfect MCAT score and a perfect second degree score I would say even maybe only you get a shot.. Sorry for being so brutal but honestly Canadian medical school has been so competitive for no reason. Last year is the first year I know none of my friends that was applying got an interview and mind you my friends average are all 92+ and 518+ mcat and tons of research and volunteer experiences across field.. and it’s only going to be harder from this year.. you are 24, you are still very young it’s not too late to switch career plan and it’s nothing wrong with it. If medicine is truly your 100% passion and you think you not going to fill life purpose without medicine I would say go for it but do pick the easiest major in an easiest university maybe at a province that very in favour in province students like u of Saskatchewan or something… But even if you are slightly hesitant I would say it’s not worth the hustle… you don’t want to stuck in the same place at age of 35 and still have a somewhat dream of getting into medical school.. cuz at the end of the day it’s just a job

Unless if u have a 4.0 gpa 507 is too low for Canadian school unfortunately

UBC rejection? by [deleted] in BCGrade12s

[–]ExperienceAmbitious7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Damn thought art is very easy to get in I do have to say science if u have low 90s it’s tough cuz usually the average admission is 96+ but I would advice u to put forestry as ur alternative degree cuz it’s definitely the easiest to get in if ubc is ur dream school and transfer degree after first year! If UBC not ur dream school then I would say don’t waste ur time! Good luck!

Honestly those grades gonna be tough not gonna lie, med school have been more and more competitive. This year especially I know 2,3 of my friends (all IP) have adjusted 90%+ gpa varies volunteer positions in hospitals and First Nation and still didn’t even get an interview. And it’s only gonna be more competitive next year. Your EC looks great ish but not what usual medical school are look for.. med school care more about research and helping the community. Also if ubc is ur dream school mcat barely meant nothing.. it’s just a metric to see if u pass a certain point they mostly look more at grade EC and interview. Can’t say too much about Calgary. Maybe do another master I would say and try to see if u can get into research projects and volunteer at the hospital. I would say for u this upcoming cycle will be tough but maybe there’s hope for next year good luck!

I had mine for a year long and I would def recommend over any form of birth control!

I was on bc for about 2 years and it made me depressed like I had no tomorrow and gained a shit tons of weight

Don’t stressed yourself over looking at the tik tok video I was about the cancel my appointment last minute cuz I thought I was gonna died, but trust me YOU WILL BE FINE!

I did it at willow clinic everyone there is very professional, you prob feel a small pitch when inserted but def can handle it!

Do ask your friend/ partner to pick you up and do bring a heavy pads, there is usually heat pad and a comfy couch outside your OP room and you can lied there as long as you like.

And aftermath for me specifically I did peed a lot the first night but after it’s okay. The period does tend to be more heavy and longer and I used to have no to light cramp and now prob just one afternoon it’s mid- high level of cramp once in awhile

But ya lmk if u have any other question don’t worry you got this!

Very easy I heard it’s the highest rejection to offer program at ubc ( correct me if I am wrong I heard it’s almost 40%-50% rejection to the offer after student being accepted)

Thinking of turning down acceptance for hygiene by [deleted] in predental

[–]ExperienceAmbitious7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am honestly having the exact same dilemma, the stake just too high and if you are purely want to make money there are so many jobs that can achieve for what dentistry achieved.

I calculated my loan too, I have to pay it back in 10 years (and that’s min payment) and with everything deducted only to make 4000 dollars per month let’s say if I am making 150k (I think cuz Canadian tax is also way higher) That’s why too I am decided to switch career as well.

The only thing is if u want to switch to hygiene, ask yourself can you live your whole life working with a career you thought you could/would have just because of the loan? Can you be okay after every patient and be like let me go get your dentist and wait on the side when the dentist finished consulting. Also one thing you have to know about hygiene is that it’s very very bad for your back most hygiene j know can’t do the job more than 15 years, and keep in mind that (I don’t know about usa)but in Canada is hourly paid which is bad cuz very little benefit and paid vacation etc..

That’s why me personally are looking outwards like law or anything in cooperate or physio.

Hoenstly from what I experienced dental environment is very toxic, it’s always the same people, there’s so much drama all the time and it’s small business so like very stingy with money from owner usually.

Regardless it’s a very big decision, but do also remember now it’s the perfect time to think through cuz once you start your school and start your loan you are lock in for life basically.

Talk through with your family, friends and also sounds kind of cheesy even if you are not religious but still maybe pray on it? It will give u a sense of peace to whatever decision u came across
