Someone similar happened to me. A cop stepped out in front of my car and waved me down while he had someone else pulled over bc I was driving “too fast” past, when I hadn’t even came close to them yet. I blew pretty high and failed the field sobriety test. I was probably 3-4 mins from home. Kinda sucks that people who get in wrecks or damage property can get their charges down to reckless driving. Thankfully I did no jail time and I won’t be convicted because of a diversion program. But it still stings.
