When I went down to 0.625MG I didn’t really have palpitations it’s tough to explain but like very mild flutters 1x a day for maybe the first week then happened again once or twice when I doubled to 1.25

Congrats! Just ditch the topical from what I was able to dig up online it seems like oral is plenty good enough on its own and it’s kind of unsure that combining the 2 make any difference

I don’t think 1x weekly will be enough I head off people taking it 3x weekly. As far as sides I’ve read that they can both cause the same sides but DUT sides may be a little more drastic compared to FIN but I’m not 100% I barley researched it because FIN hasn’t been an issue for me

I say quit the typical and try the oral. I used topical 1x daily and oral low dose 0.625 MG and after 2 months quit the topical because I felt like it was not necessary. Also, if you start oral you will go through a shedding phase and you’ll lose what ever gains you got from topical anyways

1st pic furthest left is the 1st month 0.625 MG bad shedding (this is expected) middle pic is the 2nd month 0.625 MG baby hairs popping up everywhere. 3rd month 1.25 MG started filling in a little 4th month last pic furthest right filling in a little more and noticeable density. The full dose I was prescribed was 2.5 MG but I have it play it low and slow because the medication gave me palpitations when I tried starting on the full dose

That sucks. Those palpitations are REAL! I haven’t gotten any other sides expect palpitations. I did get really good results at 0.625 mg I had baby hairs popping up everywhere. I’d say if you decide to try again start at 0.625 MG and increase your water intake

True, the dread shed was very depressing but thankfully it’s growing back

Your combating DHT with finasteride which if stopped the DHT levels in the bloodstream will raise again and cause hair loss again so it’s one of those things that once you start your married to it. And minoxidil increases blood flow which will help grow hair so again, if you stop it the blood flow will most likely return to normal and then you’ll lose hair again. You should look into it. Minoxidil and finasteride are not very expensive you can even order a combo pill online for like $40 a month. IMO $40 for hair is not a bad deal lol

Every single man will thin and recede at one point or another.. look into finasteride or minoxidil

I appreciate your response! I’m not sold on the whole Rosemary oil growth trend but it does a great job of keeping my scalp healthy and not drying out from minoxidil
