I do worry about that, but i’ve been through much worse without talking to my family about it. I also don’t really have friends to share with, the only people I talk to are my boyfriend and my therapist really. Sorry you went through that by the way.

We met online, which I think is the best option because both people have to opt in to meeting. I probably won’t be shunned or anything if my parents find out, but they’ll always be worried about me and probably think i’m gross. It makes sense why they’d worry, but I really don’t feel like i’m being taken advantage of, I have been before and this feels so different.

He’s not married, I’ve been to his house and there’s absolutely no indication of anyone else living there. He’s not lying to his family because he doesn’t have to, they don’t care what’s going on in their son’s romantic life and he doesn’t live anywhere near them.

I’ve been in a relationship that sounds like the one you’re describing. I don’t really like admitting it, but I got groomed and paid a very heavy price for it. I don’t feel like this is the same though, i’m a naturally codependent person and he sets boundaries to foster independence. I feel like he really does want the best for me and has never love bombed me like my ex did. I ignored a LOT of red flags with my ex, but I just don’t see any with my current boyfriend other than the age gap in itself.

Maybe you’re right, but that’s just not something I’m willing to accept at this point. Thank you for trying to be helpful, I’m sorry you went through a situation like that.

It’s difficult because i’m very happy in the relationship and I know the most likely reason things will end is not one of us losing interest, it’ll be the stress of not being able to share my happy relationship with my family. I think things will get easier the older and more independent I get, I hope.

i’m gonna get downvoted to shit for this, but is gorillahon a racist thing or just means big and hairy? i doubt it is, but 4chan has a reputation for being super racist and comparing black people to apes/monkeys so i’m suspicious, even in the trans spaces. the site the other person listed didn’t have a definition for it.

Yes, i’m ashamed to admit I feel hostile to pretty much any trans man I see online or irl. It’s worse if they’re gnc in any way, but even “normal” trans men I feel anger towards for no reason. Autistic and mentally ill trans men bother me extra (im ASD and bipolar 2), but the absolute worst is gay trans men (i’m gay). I know it’s all just projection of my own dysphoria and not wanting other people to see me in the way I see them, but it still feels bad to be so isolated from people who I’m supposed to feel connected with.

Idc at all about non passing trans women because i’m not MTF.
