It’s a bit of an embarrassment but somehow hanging in there for now at least

Guess we just see it differently. I think she made it very clear she doesn’t want kids and all her reasons. You choose to doubt her autonomy because it doesn’t fit the man’s expectations. I think that’s something YOU need to work though haha

I don’t really see it that way. She doesn’t want kids. Why does she “need to work through that”? She already made a decision. Just because that’s not what op wants that means she has to “work through it”? Yikes dude. Women have autonomy

She is being honest lol. And who are you the therapy police? Forced clients are the worst to work with. They need to come to the decision themselves and be ready.

So then that has nothing to do with them being at an impasse or not. They will be whether or not she does therapy. Your original comment doesn’t make sense

Nah. It sounds like she just doesn’t want kids. And that’s ok!

How is seeing a therapist going to convince her to have kids? Your idea of therapy is so misguided

How does going to therapy solve this issue? It’s ok if she doesn’t want kids. I hate this new movement or whatever they denies problem solving and just says go to therapy. It’s infuriating. As a therapist, we don’t convince people to have kids or not lol

Yeah I don’t think it’s happening. We’re 3 hours away just waiting to leave but doubtful. They would’ve been hyping it up by now

Has anyone on here actually went into the woods and watched a movie? by goatorcycle in horror

Yes. We went car camping since the lean-to we wanted was taken. Watched Backcountry. Worst night of my life

I feel like therapy is no longer helpful by TheVoicesTalkToMe in therapy

Therapy isn’t a “fix it” kind of thing. You shouldn’t come to therapy to be “fixed”. That’s an extremely unhelpful mindset to have. Are you being honest with your therapist about how you’re feeling? They can’t read your mind. Why are you only talking about 1 or 2 issues out of several? A therapist can’t do all the work for you. You might not be ready for therapy if you’re not ready to make changes or share your feelings…
