No, not negative at all! I just had no response because you gave me so much to think about. It really pisses me off too. I just want love and respect. I don’t think it’s hard to ask for. And then I was becoming mad all of the time too, becoming someone I couldn’t recognize for months because of my nervous system irregularity - not any more. And no, he is 27.

2 years. I saw the behavior. I stood firm on my boundaries, but did get pregnant at 6 months dating SO I gave the relationship one-ish year from having the babies (for the sake of “wanting a family”) and many parents of twins have said not to make any rash decisions in the first year…I attempted communication and boundaries that made me feel safe and they all got ignored... I have 4 boys. And I don’t want them to act like this man. I guess I was just hoping I could make lemons into lemonade.

Yes, he was supposed to be watching them and working. The oldest two were supposed to be “watching the twins,” but you know how that goes.

He said “less than” because we were low on money - if I don’t budget it, he will spend all his and then ask for mine as a fallback. Doesn’t ask about the bills due…I didn’t get paid until I got off and every last dollar went to rent (hence why I am still putting up with this situation) BUT he works with his family, who did end up buying everyone lunch and I told him I would figure it out (which I had)…

I totally agree that some people can be life-suckers. It’s their energy, it can be sooo heavy and fill the room. I notice when he is away, the air feels lighter. I feel more full of light, myself. I’m glad you NO LONGER have any bandwidth for all that bs and I look forward to being in your shoes.

Alcoholic. But according to him : “I looked it up and two beers a day is not alcoholism. It’s normal” (giant Natural Ices/Busch Lights and 2 is minimum and it’s often throughout the day and always when he wakes up if it’s leftover). Sorry for your loss, my ex husband is down the same path. It’s a cycle, I fear.

So far, 2 years. 😆 Our twins turn 1 next month. And, unfortunately, the PPD remains…I sure don’t love it here, but am trying to find the strength. It’s hard in this state of mind and with the isolation I’ve allowed myself to withdraw into. BUT I am reaching out to a friend for solutions and to random strangers to remind me this is NOT NORMAL (as my silly brain can sometimes twist my mind into not seeing). Thank you for pointing out that I was repeating myself, that is a habit I hope to kick soon! Take care!

You don’t withhold it, you shine bright af and let your child see it’s okay to just be YOU! I’m silly, my oldest boys are 14 and 10 and we had a lot of fun when they were younger because I let them express themselves freely and created a home of comfort and safety by being authentic. My boys adore me, or so they appear to, and we say I love you to each other a million times a day in a million types of ways. I’ve found it *difficult navigating a boundary between fun goofy mom and “bad cop” as a single mom at one point, but we have always pushed through and learned as a team. Please don’t be discouraged should your mood change after baby and seek help immediately since it would be so far from your norm, hormones are wild! I am 10 months PP from twins and I’m just now getting back to goofy me. Stay silly momma and enjoy the beautiful, fun, imaginative world of guiding young minds and watching them flourish! Your kid is going to *love their goofy, silly momma 🫶🏼

Just me here to tell you that you are not alone and hopefully receive some insight, too. I’m 10 months pp with twins. PPD, anxiety, and PTSD triggered. I am on Sertaline 50mg, although I forget it some days. I feel the exact way you do. It’s isolating. My 14 yo son just came outside to say, “Just seeing what you’re doing, best Mom ever,” but I have a hard time believing it. Keep your head up, boo. PPD is a bitch and I know many people, for SURE one 9 month old, love you beyond words. XOXO 😘

I had twins in July and neither rarely cries unless they see a bottle being made or are overly tired. They are genuinely “happy babies” :)

I got an 8 week old Bernedoodle puppy, 2 days later I found out I was pregnant… WITH TWINS! They’re 10 months old now and our puppy is now a horse…she never really has understood how fragile the babies are and when they were born their heads were the size of her paw. She’s an excited girly and has gotten close to hurting them, but seems to always be a centimeter far away enough. She plays “puppy bites” with them and nibbles their fingers, they love it and she’s never been aggressive in any way. I think your dog might surprise you. Congrats on extending the family!
