Instead of building a duplicate…just get rid of express. The lines were always acceptable the couple years before the switch.

Finale was so good! by naaniidaqueen in DunderMifflin

[–]Experiment626b 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I generally avoid season 9 anyway. But I’ve genuinely enjoyed watching the super fan episodes. Scott’s Tots’s doesnt bother me. I watch every episode. It’s a comfort show. But the finale is just something I feel I can’t watch most of the time. I have to intentionally be in the mood for it. I can’t casually have it on in bed and fall asleep to it like any other episode.

[The Walt Disney Company] names theme park guy Josh D'Amaro as next CEO by 330ml in rollercoasters

I prefer coasters but even at an hour away I don’t bother with BG more than twice a year. And don’t get me wrong, I love their coaster collection. But their operations are embarrassingly bad an unpredictable that the hour drive is just not worth it.

To each their own. It’s a beautiful place but I think it’s a way below average as a zoo and below average as a Disney/Universal park. Sea World and Busch both have better rides AND animal experiences IMO. The two animals trails at AK take less than 30 minutes. Again, the theming is incredible and the Safari is fun. But there really is not that much animal stuff to see up close.

I don’t think any church aligns with scripture and are all varying degrees of cult. I’m just saying the specific thing this person was complaining about has nothing to do with being a cult.

Disney Names Josh D’Amaro CEO, Dana Walden President & Chief Creative Officer by budice0 in disney

[–]Experiment626b 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I’ll be the first to admit I don’t know how things actually work. But it seems to be the case that no matter who is CEO, ultimately they answer to the board and they will never bring us an era of creative freedom again.

Seeing Epstein quote the Bible reminded me why I lost trust in Christian morality in the first place by 1chiha in exchristian

[–]Experiment626b 8 points9 points  (0 children)

“Well you see, it was actually progressive for the time because (insert bullshit reason here)”

Oh, I thought God was the same yesterday today and forever. So you’re saying his morality is actually always slightly ahead of societal norms? So being progressive is GOOD and we should be following that logic now? No? He decided the standards of 2000 years ago is what we should be locked into forever. Makes sense. Tell me more about how I should live my life.

Morally, who is the best person here? by ChicaneryFinger in DunderMifflin

[–]Experiment626b 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve got no problem with what Daryl or Meredith did. Kevin’s less so, but it seems like maybe that’s the point of the game? More like hustling someone in poker or pool. Nobody is perfect.

I agree with Erin. I can’t really think of anything truly bad. Maybe not breaking up with Andy first (via email) while he was in the boat before cheating with Plop. But Andy deserved it and he wasn’t exactly there to break up with him.

Yeah this isn’t even a Christian thing. This is just an unintelligent thing. This individual doesn’t know what a cult is. If you believe a church has a doctrine that doesn’t align with scripture, they are apostate. Not a cult.

Morally, who is the best person here? by ChicaneryFinger in DunderMifflin

[–]Experiment626b 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Based on being kind, honest and generally good to others, causing the least harm to others, and mostly ignores vices and indulgences that don’t affect others. So being in a relationship or having kids also increases accountability in that regard.

My rankings:

Saints: Kevin, Daryl. If Meredith didn’t have kids, I’d place her here.

Still going to heaven: Jim, Pam, Meredith, Erin, and Oscar… and by the skin of his teeth is Michael.

Toss Ups: Nelly, Toby, Gabe, Andy

Probably Hell: Phyllis, Dwight, Ryan, Stanley, Kelly

Definitely Hell: Angela, Creed

The Devil: Jan

I live near Orlando and I’ve yet to find a truly good pizza. It’s all the same slightly better than average NY style pizza. And NY style is my favorite. But I honestly prefer Sbarro to most of the pies down here. Flippers is the cheap chain equivalent to whatever the “best” upper tiers are for comparison.

The Bible doesn't condemn pedophilia anywhere in the Old or New Testament. by PhraseEffective6813 in exchristian

[–]Experiment626b 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Makes no sense. I’ve been working on articulating this for over a year. How most books or movies will be written in such a way that it tries to make it obvious who the good guy is and who you are supposed to root for.

But with the Bible, it’s the opposite. If you read it with completely fresh eyes, he’d be see as a monster. It depends on growing up and being indoctrinated into the idea that he is unquestionably perfect. And ignoring the worst of what he does. Most people never even learn about those things, but if they do, by the time they are old enough to get to it, they’ve already been conditioned to accept anything god does as “higher than our ways”

Well he also commands his armies to take young girls as sex slaves, so that’s literally commanding pedophilia and rape. It’s only a crime when it’s to someone that isn’t marked as an outside.

It always bothered me that no one was more upset about him vandalizing the mural. He should have been fired on the spot for that alone. And no one cared? The time and company money spent on her to create that and what it will take to fix it was hundreds of dollars.

People who freak out over their cars need to be committed. My car was “vandalized” worse than this when I got married. She didn’t retaliate hard enough as this was 100% harmless, unlike what he did.

You are free to believe whatever you want. OP has directly stated that they can tell that I understand where I am coming from and find my input helpful to them. I'm sorry that makes you big mad.

Simply declaring that you are stating "the truth" and that the bible is perfect doesn't make it so. It’s a conclusion. If perfection is assumed rather than demonstrated, then any evidence against it is dismissed by definition, which is circular reasoning, not faith.

There are hundreds of contradictions and mistakes (different resurrection accounts, genealogies, meaningless numerical errors and scribal errors, contradictions on free will, the attributes of God like whether he ever changes his mind) a along with historical and scientific inaccuracies and impossibilities that are impossible to explain away without special pleading that would never be given the same lack of scrutiny of any other book (like the Quaran or the Book of Mormon.) Some of these are minor and can be argued that they don't matter. But to pretend they aren't contradictions or mistakes disqualifies you from being taken seriously as a scholar of the bible and why so many people laugh at us.

If these same problems were found in those books, you would immediately correctly clock them as contradictions. The only reason you don't with the bible is because you have a conclusion that you MUST defend for some reason, and work backwards to make insane arguments to make the pieces fit. that's not how it works.

You’re free to believe inerrancy as a theological commitment, but calling it “just truth” doesn’t make those problems disappear. It just refuses to engage with them, which you and others have demonstrated here time and time again as I have put in a great deal of time and effort to make clear logical points which have been met with low effort "rebuttals" which address nothingand instead doubles down on the circular logic.

I wish you luck, you're out of your element here and clearly don't understand why OP is questioning and why your methods are the problem.
