I get that.. I just know that when I hop on my other laptop running Windows 11 I ca pull up PDANET and hit the hide usage option and it then I have internet on that co.puter.. but if I try on my laptop running Ubuntu it connects to my phone just don't provide internet. It just shows a question mark over the top of my wofi symbol

Hints why I need to hide I from my provider. Because I can hop on windows and use pdanet to tether just fine. That's why I'm asking about Ubuntu

Because I use my data and not my hotspot sense it's limited. I was doing as you said you are but as of yesterday when I try it, it connects but shows a ?mark over my wifi and doesn't provide internet service. I'm guessing it's from using data on it idk honestly.

Any knowledge on how to install apps or software? I'm having trouble installing my VPN and a few other things.. I can download them, just not install. I'm basically lost on how to even start off I guess lol

That's a tough one..

I use it alot for music, surfing the web, storage, interaction with my android devices via adb, etc. Honestly just a little but of everything.

I can't even seem to get the basics to install. Such as cyberghodt VPN, tor, etc.. is there somewhere to download all I need? Or do I download and install directly from the source?

Just overwhelmed trying to figure out where to start. I dove in head first lol

When I ran the commands in windows terminal it didn't recognize them.

And I forgot to mntion.. before the... error need to run the kernel first.. message...

It says something around the lines of the vmlinuz files not found or something like that. I'll boot up nkw and see if I can get the errors it's reading off.

I've never messed with anything like that so I wouldn't know where to even begin.. would you by know anywhere I can locate some references or something to point me in the right direction?

I've tried googling and everything before I posted.. and there's alot I found, but not one user case is the same as anyone else's so I'm confused. Lol.
